Did you not have to trim the fender liners at all? I remember when I first went to 285’s with control arms in the stock location and I had to trim the front of the fender liners. That and a small cab mount chop and they fit great.

I didn’t touch the fender liners and only took 1/2” out of the very bottom of the factory flares just to be safe

Ls powered Ford Ranger. Sounds like a fun ride to scoot around in.

So what phase of the build do you end up with an LS3 with twin turbos & built 4L80e?

The next thing I build for myself will be a 2 seat sand car with an LS. I’m happy with the trucks I have

It’s a customers truck... V8, 4link, equal length beams blah blah blah

The stuff that comes out of their shop is beyond next level, the tube chassis 6100 trucks they build are truly works of art

Yeah going 100+ mph through 3’ deep holes in Baja and smashing over rocks the size of VW beetles is super boring. Putting around in our Tacoma’s on tame trails is way more fun :)

Hey, he’s on the East coast. There’s like mud and... mud on those tame trails that make them less tame. :jerkoff:

Yep hitting a +45* hill with 6+' vertical ledges when they are slick. Not mud peanut butter clay there is a big difference, and it's the SE. You're welcome to come and try to keep up. Funny how most of us on the east coast will travel and go to Moab, Johnson Valley, Rubicon, Baja, etc yet very few if any from the west will venture over here and try our parks

Naw we go out there for the views not for the challenge if we want a challenge we just drive within an 8 hr radius.
Oh so you know ol' Timmy huh? Wait till you see his newest buggy he's got in the works right now. They aren't mad men just men with little fear and a lot of intuition.

Because it's worth your time to come to the West and get some real wheeling in but not worth mine to drive East to go mud bogging?

All jokes aside, different strokes for different folks. Trucks that can do 100+ mph through rough terrain compared to a rock bouncer are both extremes and only the outliers actually achieve it. The rest of us are into different types of wheeling. I lived in VA for 8 years. Wasn't my thing. I still have friends that build crazy rigs out there but it just doesn't do it for me.
