While leaving the gas station the other day I heard what sounded like an exhaust leak from under my truck. Once I parked I took a peek underneath and noticed this...

I took a short trip to the dealership hoping I could buy a replacement stud, but was told that would not be possible.
Any suggestions on an easy fix?

Are the studs threaded in to the mount or press-fit? If they're threaded in, just get another one from any auto parts dealer, if they're a press-fit, then you can either get a piece of threaded rod the correct size and thread it in, hold in place with Loc-tite, or a bead of weld. If it's a press-fit, then, turn one end down until it fits in and weld in place.

Pretty sure they are threaded in. If OP lost one randomly I'd be concerned that it completely broke off though.

The stud part # is 90116-08260 and the nut is 90179-08059.
I hope that works out for you.

I had an O2 stud snap off leaving 3/16 exposed. Vice grips removed it. 8mm x1.25 thread tap used before new stud install. I locked 2 nuts on stud to thread it in. Bought tap, stud and nuts at O'Rileys

Thank you!! I'll be paying them a visit tomorrow morning!

Thanks for the tip, if the part numbers above don't work out for some reason I'll be sure to go this route!

They should work, I had a customer with the same situation and I looked up the studs for the EGR pipe that goes to the exhaust manifold and they are the same studs and nuts. Good luck to you!

Is there any benefit to using a SS washer below the nut to reattach when you get it all back together?
I ask b/c looking for ways to prevent rust and future removal

Best thing to use would be generous amounts of anti-sieze, you will be able to remove that nut if you need to.
Don't think a stainless washer would help i that application but never know

Check your local advance auto for a new bung and bolt kit.

If no luck, you may be able to grab some sugru or other metal bond and pack the hole.

I walked in and luckily the same guy who helped me last time was at the counter.
I handed him a paper with the part numbers on them. They were not in stock but will be in my hands tomorrow.

Good, where there is a will, there is a way.

I put a pipe clamp over mine cause a stud broke off. Still on there and was leak free. Janky looking but worked.

That's a good idea. I'm depositing that somewhere in my brain for possible future reference

It was meant to be a short term fix until I replaced it but it worked so well I left it on.
