    TRD Supercharged / OTT Tuned
    I think the vid is of a 3rd Gen.... the OVT photo prior is an 1grfe.


    And yes...my factory battery took a crap right around 5yr mark. I think yours is probably due.

    None at this point
    I’ll be very surprised when the 300 series makes it over to us what engine options they will have. I can definitely see the 3.5l TT hybrid but part of me thinks I can also see a diesel. Diesels are common as hell over here. Currently in the 200 series they have a TT v8 diesel I think it’s a 4.5L I don’t think they will come out with a diesel due to pollution and I think diesel will be fazed out in time. But who knows.

    I was actually disappointed in myself when I moved the intake to this position to accommodate for the engine cage with how much dirt was past the filter and in all sections of intake tubing and throttle body.

    I wasn’t surprised, just disappointed. Truck is used 90% off road and I had the intake in the standard urd tcai location in front of the radiator. Now it’s inside a nonexistent wheel well. As soon as funds are available I’ll probably bite the bullet and buy a ump air box/filter to better filter dirt from the engine.

    it provides a little restriction. since you have your intake pipe reversed have you considered putting it through the firewall into the cavity behind? i saw that done here a while back.

    I considered it but I’m pretty sure you need an air box for that and then you just run the intake tube into that section. And I don’t have an air box.

    Yes however now I have it rerouted.

    But occasionally the truck would stumble, stall at idle, and throw codes for the MAF. If I could, I’d kick it into neutral, give it a few revs and it would clear up.

    By occasionally, I mean sometimes it would happen multiple times a day and multiple days in a row, and other times it wouldn’t happen for months. Just takes the perfect conditions for it to act up. Never left me stranded or caused more than a few moments of concern.

    If you have the tubes capped off (which you should) and it’s deleted from the ECU (which it is) I couldn’t see why you couldn’t.....
