Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

Hour 2 of Bedlam in Benicia.

I’ve run through my third bag of Costco candy and there is no end in sight to the trick or treaters. My throat is parched, my lips are chapped, there is a small pile of wrappers near the doorway. My own little Bo Peep is out in the mean streets with Jessie tryin to wrangle up some more salt, sugar and fat.

When does it all end...?

Four Costco bags of candy in. Someone bring me water...


No joke. A kid just walked up in a working Claw machine costume. The claw worked. I got my damn skittles back! For a quarter...

 

Niners game is getting good!

 

Makes me glad my house was dark and we never have to buy candy.

 

Annnnnd my first(probably my only) Star Wars related costume came knocking.

Lord Vader commanded his candy be delivered only to his mommies basket.


Le sigh. What happened to all the little storm troopers that used to wander the streets?

 

I relish this role. I take my fatherhood seriously. I’ve even been hitten the books hard on formulating the proper timing/corny-ness/situational awareness Venn Diagrams.

Heading up to Mendocino this weekend for an anniversary. If anyone knows some good dirt roads between Willits and fort bragg please shoot me a PM. It's just me and wifey so nothing two person recovery difficult, but I could always just turn around so dont hesitate. Especially if there are ponds/creeks around (looking for amphibians too). I got a few I know well in Jackson Demonstration forest, but would love to try something else. I got a couple species I still havent found up there, so new locations would be good.

Done Usal several times and skipping it this trip.

I can’t find it. But, there is a car blocking access to a couple shelves. When I move the car out of the garage next week(if that’s not too late) I can dig a little deeper.
