Chrome bumper caps... come on, its 2019! How do I get rid of them?

Is there anywhere that sells factory paint matching black ones? I don't feel like buying and taking somewhere to paint them. I have seem the Bumpershelz but does anyone know if the gloss black matches the black truck's paint? If the matte black matched the current plastic on the bumper or the Off Road fender flairs I'd consider that as well.

The chrome just looks like @$$

I agree- I don’t need an upgraded bumper so figuring out swapping these out is going to be one of my first projects. Still undecided on color match or matte black to match fender flares and the middle of the bumper. Between that and the grill I’d like to get rid of all the chrome.

I'd just like to make sure they actually do match the fender flares

I’m not a painter, shit I’m color blind but I went into a paint shop looking for touch-up paint for my Monte Carlo a few years back.
I asked the counter guy where the touch-up paint was. He asked what color. I told him black. He said black is “black is black. Not rocket science.” I asked if there were different versions of black. He said black is black is black...

Let me give you some advice from a non-color blind person. Black ain't just black. Gloss black ain't gloss black, matte ain't just matte. Find him, and kick his ass. He's trying to make you look foolish. lol.

Should have bought a base SR. You get a mustache on the front and $15000 still in your wallet.

I havent pulled the trigger yet, but have every intention to add heavy duty bumpers front and back to reduce damage from any incidental contact like deer or light parking lot dings etc..Wanting something like a ranch hand style but not necessarily some offroad rig with a winch, just protection from damage to the wimpy plastic. Any ideas??

How does everyone like them? Had them in the cart several times but never pulled the trigger.

I do agree that plastic chrome bumpers look terrible. Just like the designers thought the chrome bezel will look good around the front grille haha!

Thankfully mine came with black bumpers, i just had to derp that bezel, looks factory. Derp works great if applied right and it is cheap.

I had derped bumpers on my previous truck for 3 years and they looked great.

    Good luck man!

I like mine. Had them in super white for about a year or year and a half I think. I’ve forgotten the bumper used to be chrome. Good option as far as I can tell. I don’t have a picture handy to attach but there is a thread on here with lots of pics. Do it.
