Do you know about how much boost their kit was running? I'm all for the TT kit, the low end pickup is what I'm curious about.

Loving all the different options coming out though. All different for different types of driving. URD just released photo on their sc.

No info on their kit. Usually how they market their stuff till it’s actually available after their testing. I’m sure it’s the same blower options they offer for their other kits. Rotrex c38-81 and C38-91

I'm sure it will be a great option. Probably easy to tune for us since its a rotrex setup like ours..boost increase with RPM linearly.

FYI ovtune has no problem making tunes for any of the upcoming FI options. No point in us not.

How are these other guys tuning for the blowers? Do they have access to ‘some’ of the ECU, they’ve now cracked the ECU as well, they don’t and they simply let the OEM ECU manage AF ratio?

Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.
It's all speculation until they actually release a kit into the wild.

I predict the first company to start shipping FI kits for the 3rd gen Tacoma is gonna get swamped with orders.

Yeah, but I bet you can make more power than Magnusson can with their own supercharger

We can all agree no matter what any competitor comes out with will be anything remotely close to the quality and numbers OVTune will achieve. Matt has vast amount of knowledge behind various Toyota transmissions and backend tuning.

Competitors' aim is to push mild numbers backed with marketing. OVTunes' aim is to provide you a variety of two power options (SC/TT) that work as whole with the transmission (something Toyota has done to our 3rd gens by default).

Bottomline is I rather trust the community subject matter expert (OVTune) before I would ever commit to a run-of-the-mill 70 whp increased SC.

Twin turbos on a motor not designed for boost is asking a lot imho. I used to play around with turbo cars and boost adds a whole new slew of issues.

That being said if someone came out with a 5-6psi supercharger that doesn't cost an arm and a leg I'd be all over it.
