I've seen/heard of that happening too. I think it's when there's two people on the page and one is ignoring the other. I'm not positive though.

Toyota stole this term to describe their bitch ass 2WD truck...in fact a prerunner can be anything really. My last two prerunners were TwinTractionBeam 4x4:

I do wish that they would incorporate a "Dislike" button that you could see the same way that you can "Likes". I think that would make things a bit more interesting...

Maybe keep it as a private Stat that goes right back to the user. Wouldn't be against that. Haha.

The wife and I just drove a 22 year old Toyota we got for $3,500 through 12 States, 10 National Parks, over 6,400 miles over the span of an entire month only ever staying in free BLM land camping spots and sleeping on a camping pad thrown in the back of the Runner. Cooked all meals on the camp stove. Showered with Nalgene bottles.
Neither of us posted on Instagram as we don’t have one haha and neither of us said the word ”overlanding“ to a single soul.

Turns out you can just go camping for the cost of gas.

It cost us LESS than living at home..

It’s just camping haha. Car camping.

    and it’s almost FREE.

Don’t have to spend $136,999 to go camping, folks. Dirt bag it up and have fun. Enjoy life :)

My grandfather did the same thing with my grandmother, in a Toyota pickup.

When it comes to “overlanding” (or just camping) theres things you WANT, things you NEED, and then there’s stuff that a company has made...and has convinced you that it’s relevant and necessary in the subculture you wish to occupy, so that they can make money and you can have something fundamentally dumb.

It’s funny, but once you delete social media and just go road tripping you have so much fun and enjoy life so much. And any maintenance or upgrades are all rational because you’ve used your set up for a year or two and said, you know what would make our system more efficient? If we did this a little different. And you do it and continue on! :)

Been blessed to be nomadic for the last dozen or more years and can’t say that anything “needed” has ever been expensive.

The most expensive thing in my truck is my photography/videography kit bag because that’s one of the ways I make money ha.

Also.. Old Toyotas for the win!

None of these overland builds ever have residential level AC or a hot tub.

I don’t social media. I do this, and I have an Instagram, but I’ve blocked all Tacoma related stuff because Tacoma related Instagram stuff is pretty much garbage. It’s usually a photo of a truck in a staged shoot, owned by a pussy, with a half dressed girl somewhere in the foreground. Now, I like girls, but I’m not a fucking Neanderthal. I don’t need sex, I want the specs. So I’m not “influenced”, and I like it that way, so I’ll keep it that way.
