Finally made it to a rest stop and she definitely had to go

 

Getting back on the road. Praying for no more construction

 

It’s very peaceful here in the shop

 

Lol my day started peacefull.. them turned successful .

We got a call at lunch for a "broke pole". Tirned put it was a badly rotted crossbar that held a fuse cutout for a a bunch of dyplexs.

So we come up with a plan to safely handle this. Since the only thing holding the cross arm up is the copper jumper from the phase

A other linemen held the jumper in a hot stick to kinda support what is left of the arm in case it broke when the door was pulled open.

Just so happens . Was the case. Soon as I put the slightest pressure on the door to pull it open the cross arm break at the bolt and falls 7200v and a couple foot of rotten crossarm being held up at the end of a stick. And we still have to kill power to the jumper.

Ended up cutting the hot jumper, just under the phase with a special set of cutters.that are on an 8 foot fiberglass stick

Fun times..

Take care of this guy, Maner. Just met him and he's a cool dude with a second gen DCSB with OME, ARB bumper, Warn winch and a GFC! He needs a hookup for meeting peeps in DFW.

 

Me too! I'm leaving town thursday though so I'll likely have to wait till I get home to see them in all their beauty.

I dont want to see his GFC its just going to make me want one more and I need to be saving for a house not just one for my truck.
