No why in Utah and Arizona you can drive across the dessert but here in Texas you cant park on the side of the road without getting in trouble

Just explained that. But the the "Eastern" SW land have a lot of "sand". You can't graze it, Govt owns it. And unless it's a park, you can't hurt it!

Yep. Volunteer to build some trails. Make it slightly restricted, but available to the general public and get grants from the state from the OHV parks program.

 

Ooh, you made a suggestion. You are stuck with me now! Hell, we got winches, chain saws and numbers. We can make any trail a rancher wants, then run it and keep it accessible. I know how to write rules and permissions.

 

Individual basis and needs to be restricted to small amounts. General public access creates the crying Indian commercials from back in the day.

Hidden falls restricts with monetary rates, which also covers repair and maintenance.

Full blown overland trail no road but you could camp along the way it would stretch from east Texas to West Texas

I am definitely in favor of private property rights over anything, but I would love remote access in Texas, the best country in the US.

 

Somebody needs to put a suit and tie on go to capital building start demanding more private land acsess

 

I think it would be too cool for school. OF COURSE it would cost money to the Ranch(es), and then probably a fee to have a fund for future. Groups would have to register, and if they violate any sacred trust, they can't come back. It'd be cool to go across Texas, but I'd be thrilled to see some small starting points.
