How did you mount? Did you tap into a fuse or dome light? I bought some of these a few years ago, need to find them in my toolbox

    It's been a while but..

Wiring - I think I ran two new wires from the door into the cab and tapped the dome light wire I think near the driver's side kick panel fuse box. I think the dome light is switched to ground with the door switches. The way I did it they both turn in regardless of which door is opened but they don't come in if you switch the dome light in at the dome light. If you open the driver's door the pass one comes in but you can see it.

Mount - just drill a hole in the bottom of the door panel with an appropriately sized hole saw. Just downloaded the layout so the door panel will go back in with the illuminator mounted.

I got my door repaired last week, but they did not bother to color match the badging so I have 1 chrome "TACOMA" door badge and the rest are black. So I just ordered Chrome replacements for all badging and will be replacing them when I get them. They also somehow managed to make my seat seam in some areas split (thread loose), so will be trying to figure out a repair for that, may just put seat covers over seats and tape it with some gorilla tape. Any tips on the best and cheapest ones. 2012 Prerunner double cab TRD sport package. I am hoping the grille badge I ordered was right, Amazon said it would fit but than I looked at it and it said Corolla, Matrix. Camry only. Hoping it will fit, least it has free returns. it was part #75311-AA030.

If the truck was under warranty they should not have charged you anything except your deductible.

This is true.....but read the warranty. They were willing to do this, but only with Toyota parts. Why would I choose to go with the Toyota needle bearing? The warranty does not cover after market parts like ECGS replacement. It was my choice.....I preferred the upgraded part from ECGS, so I don’t have to deal with a Toyota design flaw. Most dealers charge over $400 for this work. They also did a free inspection of my driveline. It was my choice. I declined the Toyota needle bearing replacement. Research ECGS and why people replace with this over the Toyota needle bearing. This design flaw is in 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma’s.

I use a left hand draw Velcro holster mounted to a MOLLE panel. You can see the magnet I used to use mounted up under the dash this was effective but I prefer the holster due to the fact it would hit my knee in this spot. The magnet was like $12 for a high powered rubber coated magnet

Yeah, that’s a bonus. Of course I’ve missed birthdays and anniversary for at least the last five! We make it work though. Safe travels!

Looks awesome. I was contemplating this same exact cut on my bumper. Saw a similar one on Instagram some months ago but with a 3rd gen TRD skid plate and fog on the crash bar. May actually go through with it now.

Installed an aftermarket super white rear bumper.
The box that it came in was slightly damaged and come to find out, so was the bumper.
I threw it on anyways. I have a factory bumper that I will need to have painted and then transfer the parts from this one to the factory one.
That wont happen until the Spring.
At least my rear is protected.

    Amazon actually. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074KD1BN9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The fit isn't the best and like I said, it came damaged.
I usually try to buy most things from Toyota but I priced out the rear bumper and all assorted pieces to over $700

I did eventually buy the metal bumper alone from Toyota for $300. My original bumper was bent and the main steel support had a broken piece.
