Wisconsin Tacomas and bad financial advice

Did a little musky float yesterday. The full length Prinsu rack makes hauling boats a breeze and the Tacoma makes getting into the remote launches a piece of cake.

 

Last I herd was they were calling for 1”-3”. I had to run into Wausau today and they were dumping that anti-ice solution all over the highway.

 

Yep.. I’ll be at the top of Door county tomorrow. I’m hoping for a blizzard!

Today, it looks like 4in by the time it stops.

 

Looks like enough snow on the ground to go have some fun.

 

Snowmobilers are hoping it last. The clubs haven't even put out the marker signs on the trails yet. It's going to melt over the next few day.

 

Saw this at Tractor Supply.

I don’t have any recovery gear in my personal truck or my work truck. I’m always at some remote location in bad weather driving my 2WD work truck. It’s a 360* swivel. Thinking about buying it and having a winter go bag I can swap out of my trucks daily. Anyone have this or thoughts?

I just have one of these. They do the same function except the shackle allows a loop to be attached quickly.

I bought the normal shackle.

I looked at swivel one and kept thinking it will snap at the bearing. Picked up a snatch strap also to toss in the work truck for the Nw Wisconsin trips in the work truck this winter. Snatch strap was on sale for $65 normally $90

 

I have one like the one @Atrox1529 posted. I got it at Menards for about $25. You definitely want one with a clevis.
