What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Wired in some extra USBs for better charging ports.

Question though! While digging through the dash I saw that the A-Trac wiring harness had a split, one group of wires plugged to the A-Trac button and the other group plug just dummied to the back of the blank that was in that spot. What’s that splitter wiring harness for? I noticed there was also a wiring harness dummied to the other blank as well

 

from my research: the 2 blanks = seat warmer switches

 

How hard were they to adjust? Did you use existing holes for the pins or drill holes?

 

I drilled holes for them. I can take pics if you like. And they weren’t hard to adjust. I pretty much just put them low, and would close the hood. Didn’t engage, so I’d raise the pins a little bit, and try again. Maybe took 4-5 times to get it right. All in all not too hard.

 

Looking for that charger as well, where did you get it?

 

Fresh out of the wash today. Ordered Caliraised Amber fogs that will be here Monday.

 

I started on my front bumper still have a lot to do but got the base done. Still need to do skids, add some more supports, light tabs, plug the ends and maybe a valence. I also cut out the stock crossmember and made my own out of tubing it really cleaned up the front end and gave me a lot more clearance.

Installed my ADS front and rear suspension today. Took me about 4 hours with some time to throw the frisbee for my dog LOL. I will get some better pictures later was getting hungry. Will have these OME heavy duty fronts with 886's and nitro rears for sale after I clean them up, about 5000 miles on them and little offroad if any.

Re did my retrofits. New lenses, frames, and put some silica packs inside just in case. Looks a million times better in person.

Looks good! Just did the same with mine a month ago, ordered a set of headlights off eBay and new shrouds... like new

 

I'm going to take them out again tomorrow and put some gasket sealer around the edges

 

Today was busy! Got my Leer 100R installed, and replaced the entune head unit with a Sony XAV AX5000. What a huge improvement over the stock sound! I just installed Kicker CS series component speakers with titanium tweeters last week and the sound was better, but I was not blown away. With this new head unit the improvement is HUGE! One of the reasons I wanted that head unit was the capacitive touch screen (glass screen, like a smart phone or tablet) and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed.

 

Did you opt for the 4.8a USBs on the 2TPAM? Love mine!

 

I did! Totally worth the extra dollars. I usually have an iPad mounted on there when I’m on the trails and it works awesome for that.

 

I’m preparing to do my front passenger wheel bearing tomorrow. Got everything I need and ready to go ...wish me luck!!!
