I just did my wiper shaft fluid last week at the dealer, was $39.99 with free alignment. Let me know if you want a photo copy of my invoice for proof

I've done a drain and fill 4 times, the first at about 10k and had to use a pump. My last change I used the Amsoil trans fluid in a bag which comes with its own squirt nozzle.

You can easily insert the nozzle in the WS fill hole and start squeezing. Once starts to get nearly empty from squeezing you can turn the bag up and let what you can drain toward the nozzle.

After that I drained the remainder of the bag as best I could into the next bag to cut down on losses. The Amsoil fluids in a sack are pretty handy!

I've done the drain and fill a few times with no issues. Thing is I've always use the Jug and Pump option. No Mas. From here on out I'm using the Funnel and Tube option. What a great idea.

I'm at 96k and expect my pan to be pretty clean too. I don't wheel or tow.

Both of the above posts are the key to the whole "you can't flush it after xxx miles, you'll destroy the trans" issue. If you don't drop the pan first and clean it and the filter, then yes, force flushing fluid through can stir shit up and cause big problems. Cleaned=safe. Good job guys .

About 4 months ago I replaced my pan with a promo type deeper pan. Gave me 2.5 qrts extra fluid. The main thing is getting a tool to read the temperature. I use fushion app and a kiwi 3 OBD.

If you want to so called flush. Drain was in the pan cold. Measure what comes out. Replace that amount. Disconnect the return to the pan. Grab a gallon jug and measure 3.5 qrts. Start the truck and once 3.5 qrts comes out. Replace with what was measured before. I think mine was 4 qrts. Repeat about 3-4 times. Then go through the temp procedure.

Disconnect the line going back to the pan. Doesn’t matter how you measure 3.5 qrts. You can use water. Mark the line. By disconnecting the return line from the pan fluid will pump out from the outlet of the cooler and into the container you made. I measured 4 qrts so I addd the 3.5 qrts so I wouldn’t run the pump dry.
