I'm looking to upgrade my rear suspension on my Gen3 '17 TRD OR 4wd.

I run a long rough road to get home, and usually carry a couple of hundred pounds of supplies in the bed. My rear suspension bottoms out at speed in gulches, stream beds, cattle guards and other dips. I would like it to remain as supple as possible for my aging back muscles, and also keep the install as inexpensive and simple as will do the job.

Thinking of add a leaf kits and shocks. I see that the OME and ICONs are available through a somewhat nearby store on Oahu. Shipping from mainland is expensive. I very am happy with my 265/75R16 KO-2's, and I don't need or want much lift. Perhaps Bilstein 5100 adjustables for shocks, so I can level the front out?

Seeking advice from those who have gone there.

Leveling the front won't help your rear bottoming out.

Better leaf packs and shocks in rear will.

If you’re not really looking to lift your truck I’d recommend looking into a airbag setup as a solution. I don’t have any experience with it but I’m sure you could find someone who does.

But for leafs can’t go wrong with dakars or the icon rxt.

Also, if you expect to bottom out, look into better bumpstops

    Pretty stock for now
I carry probably 600-800 pounds of equipment at all times and I did the Roadmaster Active Suspension. It has been great for me because it raised the rear back up, rides great with all my equipment and still rides like factory when the truck is also unloaded.
