Any woodworkers?

A little bit, the clear maple was the finish so the joints needed to be as perfect as I could make them.

 

thats got to be tough cutting then...

 

Made a fish tank stand/end table for my wife out of some scraps and an old pallet. Used a railroad spike head for a knob.

Finishes Instagram builders challange bar cart. It was a fun build and something different from my normal routine in the shop. Gives me some ideas on a few more things to make.

 

So these wood ice cream cones were left outside this summer. Is there anything I can soak these in to kill any mildew still growing on them? I've sanded and wire brushed them to get what I can off, then wiped them down with 91% alcohol. I'll probably paint them after spraying them with KILZ.

Has anybody used the pre-stain wood treatment for projects? Getting ready to stain that pine table top and might try the pre-stain treatment to get a more uniform absorption.

 

Ive used this with Pine and works good IMO...

 

That is exactly what I got. I plan to use it mid-week. Glad to hear it worked well for you!

 

it does lift the grains up a little which can easily be sanded off. but it definitely helped the pine no be so splotchy....
