    I have a pretty much stock 2000 Tacoma SR5 V-6 4x4 at with 271k miles on it . its been pretty reliable up until now . thanks

    Howdy. Assuming you already know the alternator is bad.. 271k is a damn good run if it's original! Are they hard to get at on a 2000 V-6?

    the truck is original I replaced the injectors a few months back and the cv axles and did brakes at the same time its been my daily driver since it was knew . I had a 76 fj40 landcruiser for playing in but sold it 7 years ago dumbest thing I ever did besides getting married

    no pretty easy just pulled the battery to get at it easier the problem I had was the reman alt, got hot and melted the plug the new plug. I had had different color wires but I figured it out its back up and running charging good the battery is ok but im gonna replace it next payday I can get one at costco cheaper than any parts store and they sell interstate
