Yeah. I don't get it either, our fish and wildlife does some strange stuff. Elk season got shortened from 3 to 2 weeks too

Honestly have been thinking of carbon because of the cold. Dang bow was like holding on to an block of ice. That plus some buck fever..

It's normally not this cold here this time of year though. This is gun season weather.

I have the Z7Xtreme myself as I have mentioned before. Someone should buy this. Mathews has made tons of bows, but only a few worth keeping. The Z7 and Z7Xtreme are definitely some of their best work.

Depending on your draw length I've got an excellent condition carbon defiant 30 I'll sell for a good price. Ready to hunt. 26-28 inch draw 70lb limbs. I bought an RX-1 last year and don't really need a back up. You can't beat a Hoyt. I couldn't believe how warm it stayed in the cold. It was a major selling point for me.

    Hoyt makes great bows.

I think I'm gonna put some tape around my grip (or lack of one) on my Bowtech Realm SS. That's really the issue. Just holding bare metal. Not sure why the industry decided to remove grips.

I miss my Hoyt Powermax because of this. Not the more expensive bow, but boy did it shoot great. Even had a wood grip on it.

Many people have no pride or sense of honor. Sadly this is becoming a trend now a days.

I hope they are caught and punished.

Bowtech is no slouch either. I love the wooden grips. The defiant has one. The RX-1 redesign came with soft plastic. I hate it. Only thing I don't like about the bow. Otherwise it's a dream.

That is a VERY good price. Someone needs to jump all over that. MQ1, LX, Z7 were (are) some of the best bows Mathews made. Took my 2004 LX out yesterday, while the Hoyt HyperForce stayed at home.

They shot it on a wildlife preserve in the owners yard. I’ve heard they have pictures of the truck

What turned me off to the Hoyt Carbon series is weight. At 4.0-4.3 pounds it's no different than my Hoyt HyperForce. Wasn't worth the additional $500, warm to the touch riser or not. That's what my First Lite Merino wool fingerless gloves are for. Shot very nice, just couldn't justify the $1600 price tag.

New Hoyt grips? It's either love or hate. I like it. Nice and narrow. Warm to the touch as well. :)

Until poaching is treated like a serious crime, it's going to continue.

I bought some velcro at WM and cut the soft portion into strips and put on my grip. Works great to keep your hand warm.

check your local craigslist, sometimes good deals around there.

Same here, they got some screwy muzzleloader laws. but do the best you can,
