    No way the Gyrinophilus species? Those are rad, mostly paedomorphs.

    It is a Specled Black Salamander (Aneides flavipunctatus flavipunctatus). They are lungless just like your pops Sally, but these are direct development life strategy so no larval stage, pure upland species that is not reliant on water to breed (just moist environments :cookiemonster:).
