    Have you noticed a rapid decline in the number of qualified journeymen carpenters in the last 10 years? My company has hired more then a few "journeymen" over the last few years that don't know how to cut rafters, have no clue how to layout a door or a window and don't even get me started about their ability to read plans. It's like somehow the new journeymen standard is if you own bags, tape, square, saw, and a nail gun your a journeymen. Rant ongoing. lol

    Trades are gone from schools here. Employers and me want experienced helpers not ones to train and watch them quit after digging a hole
