    I would agree.
But I can confirm. I spent 3 days last week in Yellowstone always entering from the West gate. On Thursday the wife and I headed out the South gate down
into Grand Tetons Park. We spent most of the day exploring Grand Tetons before heading to Jackson Hole. We were never charged at any time
    for visiting the park.

Yup, that’s what we noticed on our way back down to GTNP from YNP. There is a GTNP fee booth on the way in from Moose Junction and on the way in from Moran Junction, but nothing none on the way down from YNP. I guess if you were coming down from YNP into GTNP, you could turn onto Teton Park rd from 89/191 and access all of GTNP without having to pay a separate park entrance fee.

Of all the pics we took in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. This one of the Wife is my favorite.

thats because you probably never went INTO Grand Teton through an entrance station. If you go from the south entrance of Yellowstone towards Jackson Lake Dam and continue down the road you dont go through an entrance station until you leave the park at either Moose or Teton Village. There's also an entrance at Moran. They rarely check exiting traffic so can you get into Grand Teton without paying? Technially yes, but only one way. And once you leave the park you have no way back in without passing through an entrance station.

We took the Ranger guided tour there and they stress safety the entire time. Apparently burns are only one of the dangers. Some innocent looking pools have pH levels that'll melt your skin. Then there's various unique bacteria and viruses that have adapted to these thermal features that can give you an infection that most doctors are unfamiliar with treating. And what looks like solid ground may only be a thin crust. So always stay on the paths.

So I was in the park yesterday for my annual farewell tour. Roads will close at 8am tomorrow for the season.
Opening and closing weekend are usually my favorite times to visit as the unpredictable weather keeps most folks away and I have the place to myself. Unfortunately, the tourons have started to infiltrate into the shoulder season as well. Had a conversation with a couple of tourons yesterday, it was probably both the high and low of my day....

I'm at Mammoth walking back to the truck, head down to keep the sun out of my eyes. I pass a couple of tourons on the way.
Touron 1 says to me: aren't you going to take a picture of the moose?
Me (without looking up or stopping): That's not a moose.
Touron 2: Well if its not a moose what is it?
    Me: Its an elk.
T1: What's that then? (pointing to a bull elk) Is that one a moose?
    Me: o_O
    T2: Is it a reindeer?
Me: o_O No. That one is also an elk.
T2: Well why does it have horns and that one doesn't?
Me: Because this one is a boy.
    T1 & T2: Oh.
Me: You might want to learn a little about the animals in the park before going any further, you're putting yourselves in a lot of danger otherwise. You do know you need to stay at least 25 yards from them right?
    T1 & T2: Silent.

Another touron sighting at Mammoth... part of the boardwalk is closed as the terraces have built up and flooded a section of the boardwalk. There's a sign on the boardwalk that says TRAIL CLOSED.
Touron walks right past the sign.
I speak up and say "I don't think they want people going back there...just in case you missed the sign."
He replies "oh, I'm just looking".
o_O Well, look from back here dipshit...

It's a pretty nice term of address, especially considering the more accurate and direct ones I'd use.

    Happy Birthday again Baby Sister!
