anyone have suggestion for a weathertech or husky floormats alternative for an 07 tacoma double cab? $200 is a little hard to justify on floor mats.

    thanks

I had a set of maxliners once. They are good quality and a cheaper price point.

It is hard to justify the price but you gotta think about the fact they will last the lifetime of the truck and you will use them literally EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Assuming this is your daily driver you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Plus they fit so much better than the cheapo’s and retain the muck a lot better as well. As far as your question, I know Husky makes some less expensive models than the xact fit, I’ve used them and they are decent.

Edit: at $200 dollars, if you keep your truck for 5 years, it’s 10 cents a day.

I've seen guys rip out the carpet all together and line the entire floor. If I had to do it over again I would have went that route, but I do love my huskys!

Before I bought mine, I read a lot of posts here on TW. The general consensus I found was that people prefer the Husky xact fit, so that's what I bought and I'm happy with them.

I have the husky liner xact fit floor mats, they are well worth the price.

Unless you want to keep replacing cheap ones multiple times or can live with the poor fit, I went with the Huskys. Mine are even installed over the all weather flooring to make this the easiest to clean combo especially with active kids and a dog.

Another Husky user here. Fit perfectly on my 6sp, no issues with the clutch pedal. They are more expensive than your run of the mill pep boys floor mats but they do a much, much better job of keeping the crap off of the carpeting.

Keep an eye on marketplace. That’s where I got mine from. You can also get lucky on eBay. I got my wife a set for her Camry with trunk mat too and saved $100 over new.

I went with the Weathertech Floor Liners and bought them here in a group buy. I really like them as I can track in mud/dirt/rocks/etc and not really care about it. Every month I take them out, wash them down, air dry, and put them back in. Not sure about Husky, though I have heard great things about them too. Either way, it is a great practical investment imo

Weather Tech's are nice, but they are stuff plastic. The huskys I've seen are a flexible rubber that I liked better. Got my weather Tech's used so the price was right.

I have the weather techs front and back and haven't had an issue with them in ~10 yrs or so. Only 1st world "issue" I had is the name tag on the drivers side came off a couple years ago. I know I should have started a thread bashing weather tech after that but I did some deep breathing exercises and worked my way through it.

I had Weathertechs in my 2006 since I bought it new. I just replaced the carpet with the molded vinyl floor, and the Weathertechs aren't made for vinyl, so I replaced them with the Husky X-act. They are great so far. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I bought the front Husky mats from Autoanything, if you keep looking at it after a couple of days, they send you a discount coupon plus Black Friday is coming. I have had them a few years now and they have done well in Northeast winters.

Yep, this was the reason I chose the Huskys when I went with the vinyl flooring. Otherwise, i was looking to order the weather techs. Can't go wrong with either one if you have carpet. Sorry OP that this thread became one between 2 brands but you really get what you paid for. These 2 brands will make cleaning much easier and protect the underlying carpet much better than the cheaper store bought ones.
