It's been a long year and 8 months trying to get it right. It's the recovery time that really sucks.

I jacked up my truck and spun the passenger front and it sounds like grinding. Also, while driving there’s this whobbling sound once I get above 35mph which I figure is that noise at higher speeds

I'll be looking at a way to wire my relays up for my accessories. Making diagrams and figuring out connections now.
I was driving to pick up pizza and had an idea of how to wire my relay boxes that will make it easy to add stuff later (funny how you come up with ideas when you're not thinking about anything).

I need to look at the Supra first thing today then it's my truck. If I can't get the Supra running, I'm done with it.

I get what you are saying but if the dealer was decent they would have done the job for the deductible only. I would imagine it would also depend on how much the warranty is willing to pay for the repair that could be the reason why they charged you. The dealership I go to did a friends needle bearing for just the deductible as long as he supplied the part. Again as everyone says each stealership is different . It depends on how busy they are for the week and if they are making the sales goal for the week. I did mine myself and it only took about 2 hours. The only tool I had to buy was the bearing puller that East Coast sold me for $20.00.

Might be. I needed cheap solution to flush the crankcase and thisnstiff was on sale. I have been a long time fan of Mobil 1. Will start sending out samples to Blackstone labs to see if my sometimes overkill maintenance is worth it.

Please keep us posted on how you like the Sony AX5000. Trying to decide between that (free with CC reward points) or the Dasaita Max6 Android unit I've been reading about.

    Great looking truck BTW

not sure what your intent is, apologize for not reading back for the thread but if you are looking to flush the block etc before going to new/different/ oil etc you may want to consider this....

    https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-prod...nd-protectants/engine-and-transmission-flush/

not looking to hear from all the amsoil haters, but have used this in the past and happy with the results

also Bravo to see you will be testing ur oil....

Anybody who shows up at my place asking for help wrenching on a truck that dirty would get a DesertRatliff ear-full. Take 4 minutes at a car wash and spray that shit off!

This Tacoma World Public Service Announcement brought to you by the salty dude who's still rubbing dirt out of his eyes from the last "homie" who needed a favor.

Wiring noob here. I’m trying to figure out how to wire a front and reverse camera to one dpdt switch, and still have backup cam work in reverse. Just can’t seem to get my head in the right thinking mode to figure this out. Couldn’t find any vids or diagrams to follow. I’ve got a 2006 so neither the Anytime harness not the Car solutions will work for me since they say they are for 09+ stock radios. I have a Pioneer avh-1500nex head unit if that makes any difference. Any help is appreciated.

Hmmmm, so I changed my front passenger wheel bearing (very easy to do) but the wobbling noise is still there when I go above 35mph. I could have sworn that was the issue. Dammit!!!

anyone got any ideas? This noise has been there for the past 3 years. I’ve rotated and balanced the tires numerous times. Noise only occurs after 35mph, and doesn’t occur when in neutral or park with the engine reved to 2500rpms.

Just got home from looking at the Supra. Doesn't stay running and when you use a relay to power the fuel pump (like you're supposed to), it doesn't start.
The Circuit Opening relay keeps shutting off.

Back to my truck. I'm drawing some crude diagrams to figure out the wiring for the fuse blocks I need.

How else can we prove that we don’t just wheel at the strip mall parking lot?

I used to keep my bike clean and polished but got jeers from the hardcore guys about posing, so I keep it, and my Taco, with just a hint of messiness on the underside.

Will see how it is after I clean it up then make a decision on whether to let it go. Might be giving that one away soon.
