Is it just me or do they look much better and more finished with the secondary lens cover on? Pics on the rigid website look like they don’t have the second lens and I thought the bar across the middle looked out of place. Not the case with the second lens.

Rigid said that it was necessary to separate the upper and lower beam as if they overlapped in the pattern it would exceed the peak output allowed for SAE J583 compliance. The bar appears a simple way to prevent overlap in the pattern. I think it looks pretty sharp in person.

The bezel looks like it may cover up that faux beadlock casing. Seems much cleaner.

That’s cool that it’s functional. I assumed it was so all the broverland guys could show off their #rigidindustries on instaface.
EDIT: the rigid site even lists “prominent Rigid branding” as a feature Hahahaha.

Like I said it looks much better in your photos than the rigid website’s. Looking forward to seeing mine in person tomorrow.

I was also concerned about snow buildup Behind the bar if it was exposed but the secondary lens makes that a non-issue.

Looks awesome l, not just bed to measure and see if I can make some mounts for my truck, if Ri dose not offer them. If not ill get the D series sae, the BD in my application do not have much up and down as far as I seen. The BD light up signs 10 foot off the ground 50 yards off to my right and left. I dont mind it due to it being easier to see the signs but at the same time I know they glare up. Hoping they come out with a revised version, however still thinking about selling the BD and get a 360 or D series sae. Anyways, thanks again Crashnburn for the awesome article, will be reading and rereading it a few times. Hard to find good informative test like this anymore.

I agree. I initially thought the outer lens was part of the fog mount kit based on Rigid’s IG pic shared earlier because the website photos do not really show the secondary lens. When I got them I was surprised to see the lens as an integrated part of the light. It does make it look like more of a finished OEM grade type product with the outer lens vs the traditional pod style lens.

Good eye. Soon to be replaced with 360s when the Taco kit comes out.

Seeing these in person is amazing! I'm in love with the width.

sacrificing a bit of brightness compared to the D-series for monster width is perfectly fine for me. Remember these are SAE and meant to supplement your headlights ON ROAD. The fog pattern fills in foreground and width on the side of the road, helpful for city driving to see pedestrians without BLINDING them. If you want width for OFF ROAD then you'll need ditch lights.

Cant wait to have these in selective yellow before xmas!

also look how sweet they look in my steel bumper.

I can tell in the pictures they are brighter than BD sae fogs, they add to the light output but are not a true fog light. Before this forum I mostly regarded fog lights in most vehicles either a accent light for looks or more less a driving light. Now I look at fog lights in a new light ( my bad jokes :/). I may end up getting a set of 360's one day.
