I'm looking at getting a spray in bed liner, choices seem to be between Line-X, Rhino, and Ameraguard.

Also, thinking I'll get them to spray it over the rails

    anyone have thoughts on this?

pics as well would be awesome, especially over the rails

    thanks

I had mine Line-X'd back in late '05. It has one small chip in it from where the sharp edge of a 300+ pound generator dug into it. Other than that, it's held us very nicely. The guy from the local Line-X dealership told me to come by and he'd patch it under warranty. I've just been too lazy to swing by there.

If I got another new Tacoma, I'd have it sprayed again without hesitation. I wouldn't worry about spraying over the rails. If they get that scratched up, just pull them off and slap new ones on. I doubt it'll be an issue for you. If you think your rails are going to be seeing that much abuse, I'd be more concerned about the paint on the sides of the bed.

I took these pictures shortly after I had it sprayed.

i think i'm decided on which on after reading on line for a bit

may be a dumb question but here i go anyway.....did you spray right on top of the plastic bed or can you remove that whole liner somehow??? ive always had spray liners but the guy at the dealership told me i shouldnt spray over the plastic liner.

The guy at your dealership wasn't well informed.

My Line-X dealer simply removed all the bolts/ tracks/ cubby holes/ etc., sanded it... just like they do with a metal bed and sprayed it. It's funny how some people will tell you something like your dealership did you without knowing for certain wtf they're talking about.

Line X all the way.... its the best. I have had it in 2 previous trucks, and it holds up great. I have a detail business also, and I see all kinds. Non of them hold up like Line-x

Without the factory bed, what is left? In the pics in this thread, all the beds are plastic.

Oh never mind, you have an "02"

In my area it's $399 for the bed, or $450 for the bed and rails.
