All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Anyone want to hit the NC mtns this week? I am gonna roll up there.

So if anybody wants to join a few of my buddies and I (total of 4 rigs so far) November 8th-10th we are going to Prentice Cooper Friday and hitting some trails followed by camping there. Then going to Coppingers Cove Saturday and camping there, then coming home sometime Sunday.

2WD more than likely won't be able to come as Coppingers Cove is a little rocky. Sliders, 4x4 and a skid (can be stock) are a must at minimum. But PC is pretty easy from what I've heard but with the rain it may be a little sloppy

Just let me know and I'll give you more details. This is the same weekend as the ACC garage event in Alabama

I'm new in the hood, up for hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking when I find one if anyone is heading out.

    Located in Marietta.

I picked this up this morning, so one more option for the water. Yak, paddle, skirt, float bags, good starter kit.

I need a white water style life vest and probably a wet suit, haven't ever paddled white water but have rafted.

Going to the hooch shortly just to paddle around a bit and get it setup.

Nice lil river runner setup, congrats.

Just a suggestion, skip the wetsuit notion. You’ll want dry suit gear. Especially if you’re planning to paddle year round.

Along with a PFD, get a helmet if you don’t already have one.

Enjoy the new hobby and be safe

Thanks, yeah I'll try and find somewhere to learn how to roll before I go anywhere that requires the skirt.

Helmet that fits came with it, so just need a better pfd than the basic one i have now.

It's definitely not a fan of easily going upriver, but i guess that just gets me a better workout!

Good idea. Get as comfortable as you can righting yourself both directions. It’s a whole different animal in the real world, upside down with current. Just remember, it’s all in the hips.

Haha yea. No whitewater boat is going to track all that well, especially upriver.

PFD and foam ordered. The knee pads are way too awkward as is so I'll be crafting new ones as well as better foot wedge pads since it was uncomfortable and my big ass feet didn't fit.

Do you know if there anywhere indoors that I can practice righting myself? Neighborhood pool is closed for the season so that's out. Im in Marietta.

Outside World up in Dawsonville used to host rolling clinics in store. Not sure if they still do, or if they have an ‘open pool’ type option.

Other than finding someone that has a pool you could possibly inquire with the KSU or UGA outdoor rec dept.

Hopefully the foam will arrive so i can do something about the thigh braces, they are formed plastic and way too low. I need to take them out and I'll fit much better with a custom treatment.
