    What a day!

My friends and my family were heading up to go camping. We were just leaving town and catastrophe struck. I watched my friends roll over in their Sequoia.

I still can't believe that no one was seriously injured in the whole accident. I saw the whole thing from a "bird eye view". I also can't believe that I didn't get hit either. I was waiting for someone to hit me but it didn't happen. There were eight cars involved in this accident.

My good friends were in the Sequoia that rolled over. I ripped the windshield out to get them out of their vehicle.

I am just so thankful that no one was seriously injured.

Some were very shocked, including me, at the carnage of vehicles at the scene.

I really want to thank all of the Allen, TX EMS and police that handled this accident. They were outstanding in their professionalism.

    Holy Shit!

I still can't believe that I got out of that without a scratch on my truck. I saw the whole thing unfold in front of me and beside me. I don't know if it was experience, observation, or just sheer luck... Or even all of the above. I'm just so thankful that my friends didn't have any injuries.

Where do I start? DFW drivers are crazy.

We had just gotten on the highway and we were trying to merge into traffic. There were a couple of A-holes that wouldn't let us in. It's typical around here. One particular A-hole sped up to keep anyone from merging in front of him. He didn't realize that traffic was stopping in front of him. He slammed on his brakes and then lost control of his car. He spun into an adjacent lane and he hit another car. At that point a pickup slammed into that other car and everything snowballed from there.

I watched my friend's Sequoia roll over after he got clipped. He was two cars in front of me. My truck is in the first picture. The black one on the left. The white Acura in that picture was hit right next to me. His car was spun around and thrown into my lane.

The whole thing involved four lanes of vehicles where there were five lanes in that location.

All of that because someone was in a hurry and wouldn't let a vehicle in. Now that A hole didn't even make to where he was trying to go anyway, should have just let people in.
I travel to Dallas twice a year for training classes, and I enjoy the city, hate the traffic.
Glad to hear everyone was ok.

The guy that caused it walked off without waiting for his car to be loaded onto the wrecker. At least he hung around to give a statement to the police. He knew what he did.

Glad no one was injured. Sometimes it’s better to leave them in the car and instruct the to keep their head inline. Removing them from the car without spine motion restriction can cause serious harm.

I wonder if the A-hole's Insurance will have to pay for all 8 vehicles .

I wonder if anyone has dashcam footage of how it unfolded and turn it over to LEO.

My friends were already climbing out of their vehicle. The only thing I did was to help pull the windscreen off so they didn't have to climb out the passenger window, which was up.

No one had any dash cam video. I used to travel with a Go Pro mounted in my old truck. I've been in the process of doing a different type of mounting because I didn't really want to use the stick on tape mounts. I had just installed my DMM on Friday night. I just hadn't ordered the mount yet. I'm getting those ordered today.

I was in town that day for my daughters wedding. Glad your OK and I was not involved. 7,000,000 people make for nasty traffic! Saw some really hairball driving while in town. Reminded me why we haven't been down there in 15+ years!

Sure looks like the Sequoia did a good job of protecting them...

    Just a little update.

My friends replaced their totaled '02 Sequoia with a very nice looking '05 Sequoia, in black!
