Installed mine today. Instead of using the supplied bar I installed two of the horns to the same place the original horns were installed. There is anther nut on the passenger side that took the third. Drilled a hole for the fourth. Simple and looks and works great. What a major improvement!

How did you get the plastic “bolt” off to mount the mounting plate on the bar?

it’s just a cover you can pop off with a flat head screw driver . Behind it is a 10mm bolt.

It's been a while since I was into my wiring. But as long as the color scheme hasn't been changed, the spade connector on the end of the purple wire is what plugs into the factory horn harness, (after you unplug it from the factory horn). This is the trigger wire that activates the relay. here is a picture I took when I was wiring it up.

Everything you need to know is in the instruction manual that came with your set, there’s some schematics on the back you can look at that detail what each wire does.

This is correct. The purple wire plugs into the factory horn harness plug to trigger the relay.

    Thanks guys, got it!

    Install time: 45 min

Remaining: put wire wrap around the wires

I mounted two horns where the OEM horns were, one in an empty bolt hole, and I used the bracket mounting spacer to mount a horn in the center support.

I didnt go far with the wiring, its all next to the battery

You’re gonna want to paint over the bare part of the left horn. I left it bare as a grounding surface.

Tyler - the horns look fantastic. I am almost there. Question: are the spade connectors for each horn meant to be only compression fit, or do I crimp (flatten) the connector once the spade is inserted? Thanks.

Those are compression fit connectors. They stay on with the power of friction. The only crimping one would need to do is when you attach the wires to the terminal, which I already did for you.

2019 OR here and had to ditch the bracket. When it is in place, the tranny cooler gets in the way a bit.

Gonna try @Cedar Taco solution and see if I can’t make that work.

I got a little overzealous with the wire wrap and when taping wires up, a black wire pulled out of a horn connector. I shoved it back in and duck taped it, tested it, and the horn still works. Does anyone know if the horn needs the black wire if it gets a good body ground with the frame?

I love these horns already, a great improvement over stock and the classic sound rocks.

Black wire is ground. Do you have the Metri Pack 150 connector or the spade connector? Pic would help.

This is the guy I used my massive strenght on and broke. Black wire came out, I took the blue shroud off, realized that did nothing, put it back on, shoved the wire back in and taped it.

I am impressed you managed to pull that wire out, I can’t even do that myself. I use a GM special service tool to do that.

I was wrapping electrical tape around it and pop.

Do I need that wire? My patch job is likely to rattle loose sometime between now and when I die.
