I wonder what tires those were. Not the first rig, but the others. They were seriously grippy!

I think I heard the one spotter say something about 40's. They were definitely tall.

The video description states the sizes (35, 37, 40, 40) but doesn't specify what tread. Some of them look like Maxxis tires but I'm not certain.

Yea, those might be what the first rig had, but definitely not the others. The tread blocks carried right into the sidewall. I've never seen anything like them before.

The video is definitely intense. The flexing is through the roof. I could most certainly get into this. I was also impressed by the lack of body damage to any of the rigs. The one looked like it had running boards unless they were some sort of slider. I guess with 40's though you're not gonna bottom out so much. That one sounded like a tank!

The other day I was at my local gun shop picking up some parts when I saw a Dodge Challenger Hellcat pull up. He walked in and asked who had the Tacoma in the parking lot, I told him it was mine and he went on and on about how much he loved my truck. Having owned a few classic muscle cars in my day I started asking him about his Hellcat. He tossed me the keys and said take it for a spin! I opened the drivers side door and noticed it was an automatic. As if reading the chagrin on my face he immediately went on the defense by saying “ humans aren’t capable of shifting as fast what these new auto/paddle shifters can”.

I didn’t know driving a 700+HP machine could be boring but an automatic transmission proved me wrong.

Now excuse me I’m off to attempt setting a PR on my WOD, if I can find my knee high CF socks that is.

Nice. Did you give him a thrill afterward by tossing him the keys to your Taco, essential oil smell and all? Sounds like a cool guy to share his ride.

Well, since I'm definitely going to have crawl control and multi-terrain features, and the most common explanation of these features is "like cruise control" I just have to wonder how that works with a manual transmission?

I mean, do you just throw it in 4Lo and shift to second going uphill, or is 1st not gonna tach out?

I mean most people have a hard enough time rocking out of snow with a manual, let alone mastering the ability to off road with one.

Edit - just kidding about the beer ya know

We're still waiting for Elon's ring lap to best the Taycan

So far one broken and one crashed

These days he's so pissed he put himself in a Twitter time out after getting his butt handed to him by Top Gear in a drag race

Better EVs are in the works and they won't be coming from Tesla.

I tried to read all 50 pages but failed, although there were several laughs before I gave up.

Threads like this crack me up because people get so defensive about a personal preference.

AT vs MT always has to be defined by the benchmark that's important for your use case. Performance, towing, City driving, rock crawling, clubbed baby seals per minute.....

In just about every benchmark, modern AT's are superior in just about every scenario.

Expect for one for me. Pure sex appeal.

Whether it's slamming a gear on the track or moving 4 levers to select the exact mechanical traction mods I want. I'll always choose to be more engaged in the Motorsport rather than in auto mode.
