Took the Last chance Canyon trail off Garlock road off of Hwy 14 (very rough 4x4 lifted on sliders required) up to the Old Dutch cleanser mines (35.4333° N, 117.9276° W) Very fun and rewarding trip. Its also next to the burro Schmidt tunnel. A one way 1/2 mile tunnel you can walk through. PM me, I got tons of cool trails here

Will do! I will say after 1 day of use, the processing speed on this radio is fantastic. While running CarPlay it moves between apps incredibly fast as well as pulling up navigation routes much faster than I am used to. We’ll see in the long run though.

No pictures, but I cleaned up my retrofit wiring job again, washed it, and detailed the interior. Next week my headlights are getting wrapped in either self healing PPF or a light smoke tint to preserve the headlight lenses, and I'm getting the hood scoop wrapped in Avery sating black to help with the glare.

Fuck yea! I love getting into the mountains and just wandering around the old roads for days. I'm a bit limited with my slightly lifted 2WD but i have kept up with some guys that were running huge lifts, sliders, and all the shidigs. I typically stay around the central sierras since it's just east of me.

I'm sure this is a stupid question but I aint scurd...
When I got my clutch replaced about 15k miles ago there would be no reason to assume that they changed the rear dif fluid would there?

Took out shifter- replaced seat, bushing, epoxied inside of shifter shaft. Also placed MLV mat around shifter tunnel, and anywhere else that looked like it might reduce noise. Helped quite a bit. I think the epoxy transmits more vibes than the rubber bushing. Feels really solid and positive in terms of shifting compared to before.

Also, finally figured out how to pry my mirror off without breaking! Installed the mirror relocation bracket from bird dog industries. Looks awesome and really cleans up the view inside the cab.

I’ve never heard of replacing the rear diff fluid when doing a clutch, so I’d say you’re safe to assume it wasn’t done..

Nothing bad. Sound is a little different but I like it. Performance wise it is doing great, perhaps a little better, but that could be placebo effect and I cant measure it. Took a 600 mile round trip this weekend up north and went wheeling a little and my rig performed the same or better. I did it to cut my fenders for 35s, with added benefits of safer water crossings and freeing up some engine space. Plus an excuse to cut my rig up a bit more and work on it.

It is the same place your HVAC pulls from so the air is sucked up from beneath just like from the fender. You got to remove the cowl to see where the air comes in from on the sides and below. I am not a physicist, but I would consider the air source interior just like the inner fender. Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but the air is getting to it just fine, maybe better, but definitely no noticeable decrease in performance. It gets sucked up through sides on of the cowl (just like the inner fender) and "forced" right to the intake and HVAC inputs that suck them in. I see it as air is pushed up into the cowl and then vacuumed into the HVAC and engine air intake, cowl is the air reservoir just as the inner fender would be. As a result less air is escaping through the vents on top of the cowl before the air intake was rerouted and I'm not running the HVAC. It's been a long time since I passed physics with a C so .... let's leave it at I am very happy with the mod.

A lot of others having been running this mod for years. They go into the physics in the links below. I would inquire in these threads:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/different-approach-to-a-snorkel.266449/

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cowl-induction-snorkel.525314/

    hope that answered your question.

Welcome to TW. I installed my pop n lock couple years ago, and it has really faded in the sun. I like that it gives me piece of mind to lock the tailgate, but the locking mechanism is really a short throw. Anyway, hope all is good in Van. Peace

I have a 2015 DCLB sport. There were two harnesses up there. The first one you come across is the wrong one. The correct harness is tucked further up behind that one.

    Welcome to TacomaWorld.

Treat it gently in the winter time. The plastic isn’t as robust as the factory unit you replaced.
