Doesn’t matter what it is . . . TT, SC, suspension, wheels, tires, overland, whatever. Like Anchovy said, “You’re our first line for intel at SEMA.” We need play by play, pics, insider intel. You need to set up a SEMA thread to keep us informed o_O

Then having a mass flow sensor should be all you ever need for a boosted setup. Why all the fuss about Toyota not having a pressure sensor if pressure is irrelevant?

Pressure is relevant when tuning, but pressure alone is not relevant when assuming power

Yeah, I was specifically referring to Harrop. Came out of nowhere, and curious to see how a roots style(my personal preference) does. Although I’m still biased towards a pair of snails:boink:

it's going to do very very well. I've got a harrop on my R/D tundra and it's amazing.

fitting twin snails on this thing the way I want it done is proving to be a very challenging task.

lets hope it's priced better than magnuson

I think that for a layman such as me boost is psi, the more psi the more power!!! I know my Audi biturbo went zoom zoom at 18psi vs 11psi stock. Mat you cant be upset all the time because people lack the knowledge. To you its plain basics, to 99% its not relevant in their life. Its like being a physics professor and talking to kindergarteners.

Would it be possible to run a roots style supercharger without an intercooler for daily driver? Also if it makes boost in really low RPM would it help with being able to stay in higher gear in the lower rpm range and end up with better mpg? Lastly, with boost, is Atkinsons mode not possible anyone as the engine would have to pump against a supercharger?

Sorry I hope my post didn't come off as angry. I didn't mean it that way at all. I just meant that if you think "psi vs psi" it's not really right..but I do know what you mean that generally people think x psi = x power.

It will likely come with a built in water / air intercooler system like any other.
Atkinson cycle is only at very low rpm and very low load, so whenever the truck is in boost the load will be too high for it to be in atkinson mode.
It's hard for me to say right now how well it will work in the higher gears. For a few reasons.
    1. In the higher gears throttle is limited, even when you floor it. This would have to be fully tuned out. (this is by airload caps)
    2. The airload with the S/C is going to be even higher for each throttle angle, so throttle limit at higher gears is going to be compounded...with it reducing further.
    3. The parasitic loss of the S/C.

So right now I don't know, but I'll definitely be grabbing a Harrop unit when it becomes available to create a tune for. If it is anything like the Harrop for the Tundra it is going to be very nice

No. Harrop. It’s the only roots style and looks the most promising compared to all the other centrifugals.

Anything from magnuson there? I'm not able to go this year. Bleh

Harrop is definitely the most exciting
