Any female waves at me, I'm waving back no matter what they're driving!

I wave, usually goes unnoticed or no acknowledgment but sometimes I get one back. I bet some people in the newer trucks don't even recognize a 1st gen Tacoma lol

I saw a chick driving a blue four door Tacoma with her two mountain bike over the tailgate pad. Safe to say, it’s fucking sexy to see a chick driving a Tacoma. Especially a modded one.

I don't feel much of anything about someone's gender driving a similar rig as mine. I get pumped about what they do to the rig, and that is regardless of gender.

I’m guessing he was having a bad day or something. Most guys are cool with a friendly wave from a female, regardless of vehicle.

Personally I like seeing other Tacomas regardless of driver criteria.

No, men aren't threatened when they see a woman drive. Well, American men aren't anyway. So some guy didn't wave at you, and that made you upset. Why is that?

Sometimes I wave at people, sometimes I don't. Sometimes they wave at me, sometimes they don't. I guess that's about as much thought as I've put into the issue.

If I see a woman driving a Tacoma the first thing I think of is "I wonder if she is attractive?" If not then I say "typical". If she is then I wonder what her ass looks like. It's at this time I forgot what I was thinking about.

My guess is he was confused as to why a person was waving at him. I meet people with Tacomas and one of my first questions is, "Are you on TW?". To which the response is usually no, or what is that? We are all on here because we most likely feel some passion for the Tacoma we bought and drive but the vast majority of Tacoma owners are much less passionate about their Tacoma and some are just much less passionate about any human contact at all! It is just transportation to them. I find that Tacomas are just too common to try to wave to other drivers. I would be waving all the time and probably not many would even notice I was waving.

Now I own two other cars that do receive some attention. One is a 2006 MINI Cooper. It used to be common for MINI owners to wave to each other. In fact, it was essentially encouraged as what to do by the manufacturer in their advertising and marketing literature. It is not so common now as it used to be somewhat rare to see other MINIs around but now not so much. But every now and again I do receive a wave from other drivers while driving the MINI. Yesterday after some spirited driving on the Kangamagus Highway in New Hampshire's White Mountains with a BMW M Z4 right behind me when we went separate directions at the first stop light I received a wave of what I took to be respect from the driver.

And my other attention grabbing car is a 1971 Triumph TR6. When I bought the car I was told by my co workers that I was driving a chick magnet, to which I said, "Maybe, but I think the polarity is reversed!". That car will always attract attention from kids, then typically from older men who may have owned one in the past or known someone who owned one previously. I have received waves from Harley riders before in that car, as well as from American and other foreign classic car owners.

I've even met a few that had no idea that they were driving a "Taco". Also ran into someone who called me racist when discussing where our cars were made and I mention that my "Taco Truck" was made in Mexico. LMAO

IMO, not a gender thing it's a geographic thing. In Pa. I have never given a 'motorcycle/jeep' wave or ever received one (that I noticed) from another Tacoma driver. There is, at least one (that I'm aware) thread on here addressing this topic, maybe someone else mentioned already. Reading through that thread, it appears to be geography.
