Another Blend Door Question

Does anyone have a clue why my blend door actuator motor seems to cycle all over the place? I just replaced the motor with an aftermarket from RockAuto and it is still doing the same thing. I turn the dial and the motor seems to cycle from hot to cold to back to hot??! Any ideas? Thanks

Can you provide any more signs/symptoms about what is happening with your actuator? Any sounds? The time it takes to cycle back and forth? Have you been able to rule out the blend door itself (control valve?) and/or the the cable connecting the actuator to the blend door?

 

I replaced the actual blend door last year. And the cable seems to be functioning just fine. As I am driving, I can hear the actuator moving erratically under the dash. I have the cable unhooked currently. If I didn’t, then my temperature would be all over the place

Thank you! Is this what is to the right of drivers right foot and strips out preventing change from vent to defrost, etc??

edit: sorry I guess this is temp, duh. If anyone has a line on the vent/defrost control I've been meaning to research this (read: I simply haven't searched yet)
