OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

This is what I'm afraid of. Starting a family just gives me even more reason to grab a 2021(?) TT Tundra, but I do really like the size of the Taco. I'm gonna try to stay strong and hold out for OVT TT's, 400hp+ in this size/weight truck will be an absolute beast for my driving needs/style.

 

I'm just ready to get a tuner, and maybe see some supercharger loving after my warranty expires.

 

Is this what you meant by "driving style?"

 

I actually drive like a 90 year old woman haha. I would be out of boost the majority of the time, but I am often driving over 12k ft on i70 and having the extra power to hold gears in the mountains and not lose 30% of my power to thin air would be awesome.

 

I did a quick “back of the envelope” plot of the TVS1900 compressor map and the 2GR air flow @ 8psi

Please don’t take this as gospel I made some assumptions to make things easy and to cover some unknowns.

Change up the turbo and I bet you'll have a different result.

 

Gentleman, based on everything I’ve read in this thread and some conversations I’ve had with a buddy at work, I’m leaning toward a rotrex sc. Thankfully, that’s what it looks like Mat is working on. I don’t want a race truck, I just want to be able to get through the mountains here in Sierra Nevada without dancing through the gears bouncing between 3000-5500 rpm. I’d like to get bigger tires one day, plus I tow about 3000 pounds once or twice a month. That being said, I’m wondering how this works out with registration/smog. Is this an “off-road” only thing, or will I be able to legitimately run one of these?

 

Nice to see on there instagram page. First vid out of a boosted Tacoma 3.5L. Funny how at the start of the thread it sounded like Magnusson was so far out and would be way behind. Yet the first to release a forced induction option for the 3.5L Tacoma.

 

They haven't released anything yet. They have a video of a tacoma turning a corner and a picture lol.

 

Not only are they not first, they are closer to last, and it isn't released.

I'm quite sure it will fit the bill for a lot of trucks. But you can't get one "today" or I would have already ordered it.

You cant do that with any other kit either lol Im not bashing anyone but they are closer to releasing then most think. I'm still waiting on the turbo kit from Matt
