Can y’all give me some ideas for wheels/ tires? For my 2003 Tacoma. I’ve been thinking about going with the trd pro wheels and ko2 tires. Please include pictures so I can see your rigs. Thanks!

I have an 03 that looks much like yours. I'm keeping mine stock, and spending my money on parts that need replaced. How many miles does yours have. I just replaced my lower ball joints, since there were leaking grease, and installed new inner and outer tie rods. As many here on TW have stated, the lower ball joints can fail without notice and cause some serious damage. I'm looking to replace the steering rack bushings, shocks, upper ball joints(next spring). But regardless which route you go good luck with your search for better looking rims and tires. I'm currently running Hankook Dynapro, second set and really like them. They have nice manners in all weather, and do okay for mild off road.

That thing is a limo; it's a limited double cab which is the perfect little pavement princess if you keep it on road.

Otherwise, there are a ton of threads with 1st gens on aftermarket wheels.

Fyi if you're at 140k miles on original lbj, replace them.

Difference in offset cause 3rd gen wheels to sit inward a bit.

The wheels themselves are sharp; definitely a modern wheel.

On your truck though? They would clash; that's just my personal opinion though.

Your vehicle is monochromatic, and contrasting wheels will stick out like a sore thumb.

Aggressive tires on your stock wheels though? That'd look good.

These are 265/75r16 Goodyear Wrangler authoritys on stock wheels on my truck it is lifted ~2.5" in front and 1.5 in back though. I kinda like the stock wheels if anything I am tempted to put 1.25" spacers on it or maybe try plastidipping (in case I don't like it) a graphite color or black

I'm not trying to be rude but it will come off this way.

There are literally hundreds of posts with wheels and tires. You can use the search function on the upper right and you will get a plethora of wheel/tire setups with pictures.

If you want a "specific" one do a search on that or add that to your title :)

Nice truck. Keep stock wheels but paint them. Tires are what really matter. If you have disposable income get fuels

@Notcris , I fully understand why you want to change the wheels. I have the same clam shell wheels on mine, and most defintely are lacking in the "Cool" look. But for me, I'm a cheap tightwad, they do what there supposed to do, hold the tire on, but I agree that better looking wheels will make the truck look better. I like what post #4 stated, pavement princess is pretty much what my truck is now that I don't really do any off roading anymore. Or as some friends I used to work with called it a "grocery getter", since they all drove full size Fords, Dodge 1500, and Chevys. I challenged them to a follow me through the woods once, but none would take me up on it. Like I told them, my little ole Tacoma will go places your full size truck can only dream of going. Good luck with your decision, and please post some pics when you get the new wheels, and tires on. If your not looking for a super duty off road tire, look at the hankook dynapro. I'm on my second set and really like them.
