These things look damn good.



There is some gapping around the light filler extension but since that is attached to the light face it needs room to allow movement for the aiming adjustment. More thorough details to come.

Now I'm debating on modifying my mounts or just doing a 2.5 gen swap. Damn it.

 

Compared to the Rago mounts which are angled to the sides for flush mounting the SAE D-Series pods, the Rigid OEM mounts are true forward facing. This means more light intensity in front of the truck, and with the wide 360 throw there will be plenty of center pattern overlap increasing the forward intensity. Since the 360s have a wider pattern the shoulder should still be illuminated to a similar angle as the side pointing D-series in the Rago mounts, though to a lower intensity.

Looking forward to nightfall to get some comparison output shots.

 

That does it. Time to order the 360's to replace my G4's! Crash, do you have part numbers for the Tacoma mounts?

 

I don’t. I can see if I can get them though, they are not yet being sold as the mount kit supporting materials are not yet ready. My kit came with no product packaging or instructions. The mounts will be sold as a combo kit with the 360s or separately just for Toyota, since a bunch or Tacoma owners jumped on the early release of the 360s before the mounts were available.

 

As far as the included mounts for the 360s, can the bracket go straight back? The way the D series mounts in the RI mount for my 13 F150 the bracket on the D series goes straight back to the mount. I have yet to measure my fog opening but I thing they will fit, if not I'll just go with the D series one day. Thanks for the awesome work Crashnburn.

 

They can but protrude further.



You might be able to use the D-series mount, you may have to grind the leading edge for bolt clearance. The D-series mount is wider, you’d also need washers to accommodate the extra mount width.


Then there is the light size issue, going from a 3” square to a 4” round.

The D-series are a great performing light, and the peak intensity is higher though the pattern is smaller, I’d probably just keep that setup unless you were specifically looking to get a wider pattern.

Has anyone used the 30 inch light bar from Superbrightleds I need to get hidden light brackets to mount in my front bumper the measurements say 31.5 on the drawing of the light but that doesnt include the round humps on the end of the light so Im thinking 32 inch brackets should work just wondering what others have used for these lights Thanks Everyone

 

The 360's definitely look better.

 

Currently have the BD fogs, virtually no perceivable (if that's the right word, not the best word person) cut off line, only time I notice anything remotely a cut off I'm a few feet away from a wall or another vehicle. I have seen it glare up in smaller cars rearview mirror. My concern for them, more less my application due to how they are mounted, is the adjustability of them downwards/upwards once I level my truck off eventually. I'm not a fan of the cube in a round hole but I should have went for function over form. The BD fogs with there mount looked cleaner than the RI fogs with the accompanying mount. Will see what BD says about them, might sell them and grab a set of D series selective, I love the selective color. Complement my Hids nicely.

 

I haven't used that light but I've had the single row 54 watt bar for 6 years, minor yellowing but it's been used often. Been on a 94 Miata, 02 Dakota, now my Sportsman Highlifter edition. Both the Miata and Dakota I ran it most of the time, only been out once on the ATV, have yet to have it under water/mud. No issues out of it at all so far but I'm expecting to see some water/mud intrusion after a couple of rides, those 4 foot deep mud holes sneak up lol. Other than that its been good light bar for the money.

 

Wanna sell those G4's?

 

As soon as the 360's with Tacoma mounts become available, they most certainly will be available. BTW, mine are the clear versions.
