    Which reminds me of the time I was Grouse hunting...
    I sat down with my back to a huge tulip poplar tree and fell asleep in the sunshine.

    I woke up thinking it was raining 2X4s while a gang of Pileated woodpeckers were hollering their heads off.
    Yes, that's right, a whole family of them that hadn't dispersed yet.
    They're the big Woody Woodpecker type.
    I hadn't noticed all the dead wood on the poplar.
