Let every undefeated and one loss team in from P5, get rid of conference championships... roll play that one

 

Look at the number of undefeated and one loss teams every year, go back 20 years. There aren't that many each year. Have a bowl scenario for 4-8 teams and play that based on how many meet the criteria that season

 

, but not at you mash.

Further discussion about that individual will get me banned.

If a conference has two teams in, they must play first round to decide on their conference's champion. Otherwise, there will only be a single atop and no reason to play a conference championship game

 

Now that's a shame.

 

I've always said if every conference doesn't have a championship game then none should. So all or none and let the rough end drag.

 

I pretty much have been in the same spot for weeks.

 

Also... Serious changes need to be made on how each determine which teams end up in the championship game.

I for one like the big 12 method of letting the two top teams in instead of the divisions where you can potentially have a weaker division... al la SEC East or ACC Coastal.

 

I haven't moved either... But that's because upon further inspection you can see the ones below me missed games. That's the tragedy of it all.

 

That's what we need, something different... have to be willing to throw everything out the window if really want to make something work so can't hang on to "I've always said" because it applied to a system that is broke

 

8 confrences. Full round robin. Best in confrence record moves on. No confrence championship games. 8 team playoff. Rank em and seed them or go with a regional 1st round

 

4 team playoff sucks. At least expand it to 6/8. Anything can happen any given Saturday

I don't buy the committee's '4 best' bs, we're after THE best. If you just lost your rivalry game or conference championship YOU AINT IT BUB!
Flip side of that coin, any one in the top 5-6 could beat any of the the other in that group on any given Monday and not the following week so as long as you allow a loser of either of the last two games of the season in those two games don't really matter.

Anyone ever consider having the rivalry game first game of the season?

 

If you aren’t in a conference, you shouldn’t even be considered

 

If you play an FCS school you shouldn’t be considered. Their are basically playing one less game. Unless your Troy against LSU
