    All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Had a good time up in NC this week/end.

    How have they worked out for you offroad? Too bad they don't offer many tires in the 255/85/16 size. I thought about running skinnies on my 2nd gen, when I upgrade tires. I picked up a spare set of factory rims and found out it's hit or miss with 285s rubbing the UCAs, so I considered skinnies.

    Keep in mind the weight of the tires due to different load ranges.

    I had a set of +1 size (for 2nd gen Tacoma) Duratracs load C with no complaints. Decided to try K02s just for the heck of it before a road trip. I got them in a skinny size which i think was 255 but they only came in load E and were heavy (which i didn't research up front, only after i drove on them). I noticed the weight difference off the line and while stopping and K02s picked up EVERY piece of gravel and slung it...quite a problem having a long gravel driveway. They lasted a week and Discount Tire was nice enough to swap them out for another set of trusty Duratracs and only made me pay the difference.

    *not trying to start a k02/duratrac argument... Since they are Just like a Ford/gm/dodge comparison. Just didn't work for me and I didn't want to try my luck a second time.

    I love my Duratracs. They have been impressive in everything I've put them through. Almost 25K on my 3rd gen now and the tires are still smooth, they balance well and handle great on the road at higher speeds. I ran BFG ATs back in the day and they were a decent tire, but wasn't happy with the mud performance.

    The Yokohama Geo MT is starting to get my attention in the skinny size. They look like a REALLY aggressive tire and would get excellent traction offroad! I know a skinny tire will fit on my factory wheels.

    I do like my skinnies, my only one issue with them is that they flex a bit more than I would like in the turns at speed. Lol

    Man, what a GREAT feeling to have the kid down, put your feet up, sink into the couch, and crack open a cold beer! I have a 3yo & a 1yo so CHEERS...

    Shooting comment got me thinking... like Mod Day & camping trips... maybe we plan a Shooting Day? Anybody got some land and wanna host? I just bought all the parts for a completely new AR build, hoping to assemble it this weekend. Yall know better... Maybe a meetup like this should drop into the PMs? I don't know the rules around here. Can multiple people join in on the same PM thread? I just want an excuse to sling some lead!

    I love the AFE filters. Get the dry filter though. Much better than the wet

    Edit...Also, outside of getting a better tube from the air box and the throttle body, no real difference in flow numbers on the air filter housing.

    We had someone willing to host a shoot not too long ago. I'm sure we can get something together.

    Curious where this is. Assuming around Asheville.

    Kind of glad to hear someone not in love with the Falken ATs. Don't know why.

    @TRDridgerunner

    I got the AEM version that I'll sell you if you just want to see what kind of difference it makes.
