I always enjoyed a meatless chili when I did some plant stuff for awhile. It wasn't too bad.

Another favorite I did was cauliflower boneless wings

They do cauliflower wings on ‘Hot Ones’ when the guest doesn’t eat meat...

I air fry all my vegetables and cauliflower is my favorite. Followed closely by asparagus and green beans

@weldertaco congrats man! Glad she's on her way back safe and sound. and sound like you have had a pretty awesome transformation! Keep it up! (<-TWSS? :transformer:;))

Didn't get to the gym for the lifts on Friday. Started up again yesterday with the third day of lifts. the squats are pretty tough for me, even under only 50lbs (<- yeah I am weak but I am getting in there deep, making sure knees are not in front of toes, making sure i am getting the proper depth and form and doing 25 total). The barbell row felt great though, def felt like my body was clicking with a better rhythm than the first time I did these, even with the small addition of weight. The benchpress was supposed to be at 55lb, but I did two sets of that and it felt like a warmup so I added weight before the 3rd set and did 65lb, noted it in the app. It is weird to me to have my upper body stronger than my lower body at the current time, but I am going to keep lifting, and I think my lower body will out gain my upper body in the future, but for rn thats not the case.

I added goal to my current goal of unassisted pistol squat, I want to be able to do a hanging pull up. In my sophomore year of highschool, I could do 7 pull ups at my best, but I also weighted around 50lb less than I do today. Today I just want one, but I am sure that when I reach that it will motivate me to continue to try to get more and then who knows.

Time to start considering diet, especially if I want to achieve a pull up...

How “fit” is 22% body fat?
My max weight is 214 lbs or 22% BF.
I’m currently around 290 (been a while since I’ve weighed) and the lowest I’ve been in my adult life was 230ish.

I’ve started tracking CiCo again and based on my BMR calculation (2403, based on Mifflin) I should be able to lose a fair amount of weight simply by tracking in vs out and eating more greens and fewer carbs on top of my workouts becoming more regular.

I haven’t eaten lunch yet but it’s planned so this should be an accurate representation of my intake until dinner.

The knees in front of toes thing is a myth. As long as your knees are pointing the same direction as your toes you are fine. In order to perform a high back squat or front squat your knees will have to go past your toes (Ankle dorsiflexion)to keep your body upright.

Lol true story. Also, the more your knees go past your toes the more you will activate your quads during a squat. Which is why front squat, high bar squat will target the quads more. (Not hating on low bar). Obv if your goal is to move the most weight possible the low bar will use quads, hammies, back etc.

    I’m real bb.

    Obese for males is >25%
    Overweight is >20%

I’m not sure the word “fit” is appropriate just because you can be fit and obese depending on how you define fit.

I feel like a fat slob over 10-12%.
I really notice it when I workout. Anything under that I feel light as a feather. Its great. I can run forever, do push ups forever, do crazy amounts of pull ups, and do challenging core work.

I start gettin up there and I really feel the weight, even if 10-12% is lean.

22%.... yeah I’m not going to be my definition of fit. But its all relative to what you do or what you want to do.

In PC's choice of words - Fat slob checking in (no but really I feel it, but it's necessary) Negative Transformation Tuesday here-

    Started roughly 90 days ago.

    Start weight - #198 (maybe 8% BF) (10 mins a day cardio)
Current weight - #227 (Maybe 12% BF) (0 minutes cardio)

    Cutting Calories - 3000
    Starting calories - 3200

Few weeks went by and I was over 3500
Few more weeks and I was 3800

About 3 weeks ago I broke 4200. This will probably be my maximum. My biggest push this growth cycle is micro nutrients - I've always neglected them, but they are paying off IMO. I need to maintain this fat percentage and put on another #25 pounds of mass. This should allow me to cut down starting in April from a weight of 250+. Roughly 35 pounds will fall off (I am hoping it's less LOL).

to add to Paulo’s post, my knees go past my toes every time I squat, and I squat almost exclusively low bar. More so with high bar and SSB.

ankle mobility and hip mobility are your best friends when it comes to a proper, deep, squat.
