    2013 with 100k miles. Upper intake has been off once before for the xtp manifold spacer install around 10k miles. They are all rubber o ring gaskets similar to my OHC dirtbikes that have valve covers off all the time so im not too worried.

    Why yall making this too easy... i told myself id never do anything internal....

    I got a set on the way also. And I'm going to just replace the valve cover gaskets while I'm in there.

    Im planning on installing these during the thanksgiving break, what else should I replace while I'm in there ? since im pulling the supercharger- spark plugs for sure, valve cover gaskets, serp. belt, swap in a colder thermostat, anything else i should hit while im in there ?

    Planning to order these soon and I'm curious roughly how many hours it's taking people to do the install on their trucks? Just trying to figure out how much time I'll need to budget. For reference, my wrenching skill level is pretty high.

    It was my first time removing the valve covers on a 1GR so I took my time (but I've built VW motors up from a bare block, swapped a head on a 3RZ, etc.). I burned some more time worrying I was going to break something when breaking the cam gear bolts loose.

    I think I went through 3 pints of IPA and it took 4 hours from start to finish.

    Because I'll likely being doing this solo when it comes time, I would love to put an impact on those cam gear bolts instead of wrestling with all the wrenches. Does anyone know if there's room for an impact wobble socket? Also, the URD directions mention taking out the spark plugs. Is that really necessary?
