I have the AEM version in my Ford. The only real benefit (and why I bought it) is lifetime cost. The AEM dryflow was $40, a paper was $25. So after two service intervals I’ve already come out ahead.

That was my logic as well. However, I have not been overly impressed. I do like being able to clean it though.

If it matters to you, I can't say I'm in love with mine. I think they are solid tire and look good. No better or worse than any other AT I've run. I do have some balance issues as others have reported. Mine either aren't at the level that some have experienced, or I just don't pay as much attention to it :notsure:

All that to say I'd probably buy them again, but I could also be just as happy never buying them again.

Some guys put air soft bb's inside to help balance out their wheels and tires.

It doesn't really matter to me. I'm sure they are a fine tire. They just seem to be the new bro tire of choice. I see/hear lots of praise, but no real testimonials of actual use. Maybe I'm off base?

They look just like a plain ol tire to me! I have heard stories of the falkens not balancing very well here and other forums as well.

It doesn't have to matter to you or not, and you're not off base. Your original comment seemed to indicate you'd heard only glowing reviews. I'm just offering another type of personal feedback. Its done for me what I'd expect from an AT tire. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Yes
Ive got the aFe CAI with the prodry filter but ive noticed really fine dust on the intake tube, thats the only complaint i have but im also operating in extremely dusty conditions, so maybe im not cleaning it out often enough.

cleaning it more will allow more fine dust through. Kind of ironic that a dirty filter is more effective at filtering than a clean filter, but a clean filter will allow more air to the engine.

That’s up on Mt. Winterstar just N of Mt. Mitchell.
It’s one of the 3 bridges I have to cross to get to my place.
I would really like to take some of you up there with me. You guys would dig it. It’s only a 4.5hr drive to get there.

Got a little annoyance I'd forgotten about until I took the truck out for a spin yesterday.

When the front right suspension corner is flexing, I'm getting a squeak that sounds very similar to a squeaky leaf spring. On our last trip I hopped out and let the wife drive so I could listen, and it almost sounds like the squeak is coming from the UCA where it bolts to the truck. In normal road driving the suspension isn't flexing enough to hear anything, but over larger bumps that have more than... say... 6" - 8" of travel that's when you hear it the worst. They're factory UCA's never been tampered with.

Anything I should be concerned about, or is there anything under there I can grease to stop the squeak? I'm running 6112's up front that I installed myself but I've checked torque on the top mounts, lower shock bolt, and lower ball joint. Nothing seemed to be out of whack.

Could be bushings, but since they are stock UCAs you can’t grease those

He could grease them...just not sure that would fix his issue. My guess, based on the description might be a worn out Upper BJ. Can't really say though.

Hello all - Just found this forum - Wrecked my '12 Tacoma DCSB and it was totaled - now I'm in a '20 limited that I just picked up a week ago.

I'm in Marietta - By the looks of things - good group of people here.

Couldn't resist to get the leather and some of the other upgrades and had some things worked out with my job where it made sense to go with it. It's a city truck for now.

I wonder if I put the front on jack stands, then try to "cycle" the right side with a floor jack if I can get it to squeak enough to pinpoint where the problem is.

If it's an upper ball joint I'm just going to buy new JBA UCA's.
