I'm good on 22 stuff. I think we have enough 22's in the safe :)

Got the Garand all taken apart to put some finish on the stock. The brand new stocks apparently don't come with finish from the CMP.

Got it all put back together and went out to check the sights. The fliers down low were all me. I was expecting to have to aim low on a milsurp sighing system since all of them seem to have absurd range settings. Wasn't necessary though. Even after I took the sights apart and put them back on it was pretty much dead on. Not a bad way to spend the end of veterans day this year.

    (Not political)
Here’s a fun game I played with my friends last weekend:

How would the media sensationalize a reported raid on your house?

“Just in, a local home raided by agents revealing a cache of firearms, HUNDReDs of rounds of ammunition, home-made devices, and even more undisclosed weapons discovered in a vehicle! More after this message from our sponsor.”

    Reality:
A couple older .22s and non-firing inherited family firearms, an incomplete rifle build, a few boxes of ammo in varying calibers, a BB gun in the bed of my truck.

Glad I'm not the only one who imagines such scenarios.

Always comical to see the news reports nowadays.
Couple thousand rounds is always referred to as a stockpile......rookies.

What gets me is all the references to an AR as an “assault rifle”. They have no clue what AR even stands for.

Any more than one shotgun that belonged to your grandfather is a cache.

Any more than a half a box of shells is a stockpile.

It's all about the views, not facts.

    Joe Friday is NOT pleased.
