Yeah, Walt (her step dad) and I train at the same gym. I don't know him well, but it sure makes it really hit home. He's a really nice guy.

 

Is there anything new? The last new thing I saw was they released surveillance video of her at the convenience store. I think those dating site app things are dangerous as hell. Didn't they say she was meeting somebody from one of those things?

they're no more dangerous than meeting anyone. In college I remember a few friends talking about how inappropriate guys can be in private versus how they treat someone in public. Women can be the same way, not bashing men as a whole. It's just that we're physically more capable of protecting ourselves.

 

They did say that, but I've not heard anything about it other than that. Not much new. The reward is up to $105,000. MMA fighters, Dana White, and an anonymous local donor are responsible for most of that. Police feel sure there was foul play based on evidence recovered from her car. There is an ongoing search, but it doesn't sound like it's in a specific area or based on a specific tip or anything.I'm just hoping as the reward gets bigger, someone will come forward. But it's not looking good.

 

In this day and age though meeting someone from a dating app might not be the handsome picture you see online. It might be Leatherface with a chainsaw that gets out of a van. At least out in public when you meet someone other folks would actually see who it is your talking to.

oh no, haha i 100% agree with that never meet someone for the first time alone. dating sites, craigslist, fb marketplace, hell i get nervous meeting some people for garage door work depending on where it is.

I'm talking about if the college kids arrange to meet each other at social gatherings using it. the way that person is first date in public vs 2nd more alone or in vehicle together could be bad.

the apps should have warnings for kids when they match. use caution, meet in public crowded places you're familiar with, etc.

I've been married forever, but I read several comments from guys who use Tinder, and even they were shocked at how easily women would just agree to come to their house without ever meeting in public first. Ladies, y'all be careful out there.

 

‘Tis a fact. I’ve been on the dating apps before and it’s too easy to get what you want from a girl, well besides an actual relationship hahaha. But if you’re a decent guy for real they don’t think twice. Amy only met me because we had mutual friends. Then a few weeks later we told said mutual friends they suck for never introducing us lol

 

I'm happy she wasn't wielding a chainsaw.
