I'm considering removing the stock rack, since I don't see myself using it. Last year, I had a massive sheet of ice form because of the rack.

We "snag" the menhaden (called bunker around here) with weighted hooks and live-line them for striped bass, which are often waiting below the giant menhaden schools. Snagging them is fun since they get foul-hooked and feel like a much heavier fish. You can't really eat these though.

That first pic with the pan however is not menhaden, but bluefish, I think.

Edit: just realized I replied to a 10 day old post :)

Yeah, it needs something on the roof, whether it is the TRD Pro rack, or SR5/TRD OffRoad roof rails.

Actually, to this day, some of the best words, I have had spoken to me, in rough times...
    "This too, shall pass".
My transition to the civilian world was..... difficult.

I was told, not to ever make decisions under emotional/mental stress. At least not important ones.
I am not a very social person, I dont even like dealing with most of my own family, so, I tend to withdraw, and try to focus when shit starts going sideways. I always try to remember what is at stake.
At best, my life tens to be barely contained chaos, at worst, its a dirty nuke...

I have no idea what is going on, on your end, but, bullshit and chaos are part of life( I know you know that). Solve what you can, and just deal with what you cant solve, whether its walking away, or shouldering the load.
And if you have the right friends, theyll kick back with you, and let you "unload" some that burden.

Good luck... and if you ever need a spot to kick back in quiet.... my firepit is 15ft from the water.... and I have a couple chairs 2 ft from the water even further from the house, nice and low. Love that spot for quiet reflection...

@Bridge4 thanks man. WE are good. It isnt easy, though daily video chats, and Cat EXCELLING in this STEM school, are making it bearable.

They will be up here for the week of thanksgiving, and I just got approval last night, for the weeks of Xmas and New Years.. so, sounds like at one day with tequila and coronas on the beach.

I dont care if it is only 50s/60s.... debating on dragging my saltwater gear down too....

That means a lot to me man. I'll have to sit down and think things through really well. I'm not sure what's going on on your end, but it looks like it's working out well. I hope you pull through well my man.

I won't say he sucks...I do think he's making more decisions on who to throw to pre-snap. We're seeing more balls thrown to receivers who are not the optimum choice but ball placement can bail him out. What drove me nuts was 3rd and 8 and Brady drops back and forces it into Dorsett for 6 yards and Ben Watson was WIIIIIIDE open 25 yards downfield as the safety had crashed up with the LB to take out Edelman...It was such a big miss. Something you'd like to see Brady notice.

BUNKER! That's what people call them...I couldn't remember what the ole' New England fisherman name for them was...They smell just like fish food...

You need to tarp it if it's going to snow. Especially you @DoubleRGirl , that trd rack is the same as my FJ, and it sucks to try to get the snow off the roof with it. Especially for someone with a height impediment.

Throw a tarp over the truck and the the grommets off to the wheel spokes or something if it's going to snow. The next morning just untie and pull it off, bam instant clean roof. I do it to my wife's t4r with the stock rack, and used to do it to the FJ.
