Ive never put stabil in my tank. Just top off, battery tender and a start every once in a while.

There is less and less need now I'll give you that - unless it sits for 6 months plus. I have an 06 WR450F, 02 Dyna and 04 F4I, so they are all carb and if you don't use stabil it gets nasty real quick with the carb jets (ridiculously easy to fix yourself).

I still take mine out if there's no salt on the roads but bitter cold days take away some of the enjoyment.

Looking good... that's great hopefully she appreciated the visual and knowing your bike is breathing much better now lol.

She's trying to get into it, and trying to understand my expensive hobbies (truck). I give her props. We just started dating in July. I guess she will see how fun things are when I need new tires haha

David, Use that electrical box cover I linked (products discussed). It fits perfectly over that air cleaner and is a cheap alternative to the aluminum alloy ones. You can pick one up locally at a hardware store and paint it. I used a wrinkle finish black and it blends in with the bike. Only a HD tech would know the difference.

Measure your air cleaner's outer rubber gasket to be sure, some are just a tad too big and I found one at OSH that was the right size. I filled the screw holes with epoxy and drilled a center hole for the mounting bolt

Sounds promising then, to make things work in the long run your significant other has to support your interests/hobbies and vice versa.

My wife knows I'm a gearhead - she enjoys coming along for the ride and even humors me as I yap endlessly about my truck and other toys :D

My partner says the only bike she'll ever ride is her own. I'm currently teaching her to ride, but she wont take a ride with me in control. I can dig it.
She thinks my truck is dumb and my guns are a waste of money. I tell her to go buy some more stupid shoes and plants and we just laugh and laugh.

haha I yap away too on trips where she comes along. Right now she is trying to learn the differences between 1st-5th gen 4runners and how to spot them on the road.
 She wants a bike too, maybe. I think she likes those yellow iron 883s, but first wants to take the class to get her license. She also said she didnt want any mods on hers..

She wanted a café racer, until I had her throw a leg over the project bike. Once she realized hot tall the seat is, she said she'd keep looking. She still remembers my nightster so I'm pushing her towards the Iron 1200 (mostly because that means I'd have access to another sporty).

Lol that's great and I like the determination, mine trusts me surprisingly but is scared to ride on her own. I want to get a little dirt bike and have her start off the pavement where it hurts a bit less to fall, we'll see.

Funny you say that lol - Jacqueline (my wife) can now identify the different Tacoma gens from me calling them out all the time and since I got her driving a WRX she's always getting waves from other Subie drivers lol

Still haven't traded in the Street Bob yet. The Lowriders are scarce around here and I haven't made time to go for a test ride. I'm already 90% sure i'll trade in, but I want a direct seat comparison so I can convince myself it's not just about aesthetics. Speaking of, the new Lowrider S seat is so much more comfortable than the stupid seat on the Street Bob.

Im trying to get her to do 80 series and 100 series too, but first is 4runners.

and even within that the "ugly (IMO) " 5th gens that didnt get the facelift yet. I think pre-2013 and the Limited

PA spring ride! Will take my 48 like 4 fillups to even get to PA. 60 miles to a tank is fun, but at least I look good
