Agreed. Food in the fridge, small bag of clothes, everything else is already in the truck.

No dude, you think you are. 6 foot at 230 with a 56 inch chest? Plus a 65 lb dog and my very tiny wife, a 3 person tent wont work for me.

Plus, if you are talking about vehicle camping, there is nothing minimal about it. Especially if you have an on board fridge. I guess minimal is up to interpretation here.

David and I's fridges are the same size as a reasonable size cooler. It may actually be a little smaller than the Yeti I had before it.

Im just saying, I dont need an earthroamer. Im also saying I dont need the room of the Habitat. I dont really like wedge tents. That new one was interesting. Not too many that pop straight up. Yes, there is the 4wc one, but I dont need AC when camping. I also dont need a kitchenette. Minimal stuff. Like eat on paper plates, then burn them after.

I get it, fridge > cooler, but thats a convenience thing. Not going for the maximum amount of room inside. There's a bunch of points in this argument.. Basic vs glamping, small vs big (tent/person/family/truck/tires, etc), supplies, buildout, and so much more!

The way I want to camp, is small tent, small amount of food. I dont need to stand up or take an indoor heated shower in my truck. I want to get outdoors

I also dont like wedge tents, and I think they are gimmicky at best. I didnt even know you could get AC in a truck tent, unless you built it yourself (which Ive seen). I just look at things like this. If yoyu are going to pay 9k for a truck camper, 2k more for double the room, well, thats a no brainer for me. If AT offered that pop up for 5k, well, they would have an absolute winner.

If you have not tried lightweight backpacking / camping, you really should. it really opes your eyes to what you really need/ weight you want to carry

if they had it for $5k, Id sell my tent right now.

I kinda want to try backpacking/camping but then again, I built my truck so I dont have to sleep on the ground. And also why my chair is heavy. And every time I go to REI and they tell me about weight savings, I laugh..

I was watching a bunker video today. And even though my work doesnt have windows, I would still need windows where I live. I dont want to climb 25 feet up just to see if its sunny

i think itd be cool to do a trip where you have to build your own shelter for the week. I had a kick where i was watching a bunch of bushcraft videos and ive wanted to try it. I went camping with my dad way back when with two tarps and some clothes and it was a pretty fun time.
