    Exactly..

To add, you can only register your vehicle at an out of state residence if that is your “permanent residence” and / or you are active duty (still only if you claim that other state as your permanent residence.)

really prefer @OVTune SC stage 1 to go with his Tune. Hope he will continue to develop and release for us 3rd Gen owners. May have to move to a non-CARB State to make it happen or become prolific at install/remove process. ??? Wonder what the roadside emission stations would record/report? If it passes there is no inspection and the last thing I want to do is have some knuckle head run my truck though the emission testing on the treadmill.

They kept the sizing comparable to the SC they used so it would be a fair test. Why change the sizing out of their setup? It was for a no BS comparison.

For those talking about emissions systems well, move out of California. Emissions testing for compliance is insanely expensive.

Nah. Plenty of supercharger and Turbocharger add-on kits have CARB exemptions. It's the cost of doing business with a very large customer base.

Honestly I have no issue taking the turbo kit on and off right before smog emissions check is due. I'm from California. They're robbing 550$ annually for my registration lol.

agreed. I think car manufacturers should simply say no more new cars for Cali. If they don't like it they can lump it. Live with what you have cause you aren't getting anything new that is gas or diesel from us.

Change it so it spools faster. It's been awhile since I've watched it. Is the turbo a twin scroll with ball bearings? How did they determine that they were equal?

I am at a mine down in Argentina. This is sitting in the parking lot and I thought it was funny with all 4 turbos stuck on top. The tag is worn out so I couldn't id it. I am not a mechanic so I don't know the models of these engines. Probably out of a haul truck or large loader. Not the biggest I have been around. Have a picture somewhere of one of the huge Caterpillar motors out of a 400 ton haul truck. I think that one was a 3000 HP V16 also with 4 turbos. Mostly on topic - I put "turbo" in my post twice.

When I was stationed out there I was in Imperial County so no CARB requirements. Once I registered it back in Ohio (only pay like $30~ for registration) I never have to worry about it. lol
