Totally understandable. But a lot of us will tell him not even to waste his time looking at SOS’s stuff. Most of us have bad experiences with sos

They don't make 1st gen stuff and I drive a 1st gen so I don't have any experience with it personally. Just going by what the guys I ride with have said. Never heard anyone say anything bad about it until today.
Like I said earlier he said he wanted to see some and I was only directing him to where I know some will be, I don't make or lose anything either way.

That's funny! Those welds do look like ass and the white one has the build quality of my hacktackular bumper I built out of my old all pro by chopping it apart drunk one night. Looks like I can get in the fab game, just need to get on the gram and a legion of crap work apologists to follow me around the e wheeling world.

Demello and C4 are probably top 2 on my list right now. Coastal offroad’s stuff is awesome for being DIY stuff. Can’t beat the price if you know how to weld

The one time apartment life isn't so bad...

Yeah I'm about the only one here who has SOS armor that hasn't had a problem with it. No complaints, no regrets.

just read through all of those comments and I’ve gotta say..

Years later, and having just finished building my 4th bumper, multiple sets of sliders, and a set of skids, I still stand by every comment that I made regarding SOS’s build quality. 0% chance I would let shit that looked like that leave my garage, and I’m just doing this on the cheap for friends.. much less as a business. Not one bumper has left warped, or not fit damn near perfect, or had welds like what were on that bumper.

I get that businesses get ahead of you and shit starts to scale quicker than you can necessarily control, but let lead times build up. Customers will understand. Do not sacrifice build quality.

Taking pre orders for the Hoff customs bumpers. Only a low downpayment of $850 gets you put in line, send me your old tube bumper to cut up because I'm too cheap and dumb to use a bender and then another $850 when I'm done and ready to ship. Any qc issues you need to understand I'm in my garage and you are a millenial woman for wanting something without booger welds and that is actually symmetrical.

And I'm very excited to see the rear bumper you build!

I think your comments in that thread were civil and well phrased. A lot of the backlash from others was not. I think you did a great job of that.

I stumbled into this thread as I live in Arkansas. But I do appreciate having read about some experiences with SOS. I've been toying around with the idea of a low profile bumper next year, and I do value seeing threads with others' experiences with different places.

I'm still a little salty about the welds on your bumper vs mine.. but as long as nothing gets tweaked on the trail I don't care all that much lol

I might hit you up on some brackets for kayaks. Also I want you to build a damn T4R hybrid bumper off your coastal design so you can make me one.
