Haven’t been out fishing in a while. I usually take the party boat out of Emeryville and go Rock fishing outside the Farallon Islands for Rock and Ling Cod. Sometimes I surf fish in Alameda.

I prefer to stick with freshwater. Heading out to Del Valle or San Pablo Reservoir and grabbing a boat for the day is perfect. Have to get out there at the crack of dawn though. Pointless to go late in the day.

Haven't done the party boat thing since I was a kid. Puked the entire trip out. Never again. I hear good things about fishing behind the old base in Alameda. Last Bay fishing outing was Richmond. First time @ the 'Public Fishing Pier' but nobody was out there. Not bad, if you haven't been - try it.

I would go fish under the Carquinez Bridge next to the Amtrak rails for Stripers too. Haven’t had much luck so I stopped going. In Alameda we usually set up shop under the Bay Farm Island Bridge when we’re not surf fishing at Harbor Bay. All I ever caught there were Stingrays. Alameda has always been a good spot, about ten years ago the Mackerel were spawning in the tributary off Doolittle Dr. it was really something. You drop your leader in with four hooks and reel it up immediately and you’ve already got four on the hook.

I’ve had shit luck with freshwater, that’s why I usually ocean/salt water fish. We’d go to Quarry Lakes almost every weekend when I was a kid and we didn’t catch a damn thing.

Haha man that’s a great way to describe it. They stock the lake, there isn’t enough natural life there.

I guess if you hit enter too early when going to my schools canvas page it takes you to a porn site, so that’s always good to do on a school computer

Haha WTF? When I’d fish there there was those fisherman with those fishing float tubes where they were half submerged in the water.
