I was making fun of myself. The trd/ FJ rack looks cool. But God damn thing is tall as hell.

 

That's why I took it off. Since it's a daily I don't want to worry about parking garages

How tall is the 4Runner? I wouldn't have thought you'd have an issue with most garages. New garages are 7' but the lowest I've seen is 6' 8".

Yeah... the NJ plates sort of tell the whole story with that truck... I'm perfectly content with my Lariat Sport wheels!

 

I believe with the stock rack it was almost 80". I had trouble with the fj and garages in Boston. Same with the raptor

 

Yeah, that's cutting it close. The Ferd is 6' 10" so I avoid parking garages unless they're new. The new ones have 8'6" clearance for at least part of them for ambulances.

 

We have had to circle around before trying to find somewhere the raptor would fit haha

And good thing for those clearance bars. Almost drove the fj into a garage and would have been fuct

 

Were there trees in there?

At least in my area it starts at 7, so could be done around 9. THink there was a place in Worcester showing it

 

Back when I was on 33s I had to use the parking garage in Springfield. My Tacoma barely fit, but the stock radio antenna was slapping the support i-beams

 

Closest theater to me, showing it, is enfield. Starts @7. JUST walked in the door. I wouldnt make it....

I’d imagine width is a major issue for the Raptor. With the F150, I could fit height-wise in a most Boston garages but making some of the turns within the garage was dicey due to the width and wheel base.

On the wrecked Ferd, I cut the antenna down so it was 1” taller than the cab. Stock, it’s almost a foot taller than the truck and hit everything. Cut down, I use it like whiskers. With the new truck, I just pulled the antenna off for now, still need to cut it down.

 

Yeah people on the raptor forum complain that they don't fit between the pay stations too haha
